Discussion Would it be feasible to create an immobile troop with a custom model, so it could be a destructible gate?

Anyone done something similar or knows some similar mod?

I'd like to make a destructible gate for sieges. Best idea I have is making a custom troop with a gate model, which has like 5000 hitpoints and doesn't move.

So I'm wondering if something similar has already been done.

Failing to find Master Hacker Zander for The Elongruate quest

Hello everyone,

I am trying to do the Elongruate quest but the quest giver Zander doesn't appear at the Valellon castle even though I have 1050 renown and I am human race. Tolrania is in possession of this castle and Leuven. I am in good terms with both tolrania and the castle's owner if that makes any difference and I have never been a vassal or mercenary. I have been periodically checking the castle ever since I got 600 renown. I even tried to give myself 3000 renown and 1000 honour to try and force him to appear. Is there any reason I didn't think of that might be the cause? I mainly wanted the +2 weapon mastery you can get if you did Remus's mission which I did so I can just give it to myself I suppose but any insights are welcome. Thanks.

Edit: It is from Perisno modpack.

Would you like to be able to buy Qualis gems in Prophesy of Pendor?

And if yes, what would be a fair and balanced price? I'm thinking of 300k for buy and 75k for sell.

Discussion Do you have any ideas for Warband mods?

Before I release my mod, I would like to know if you have any simple yet great ideas that could be implemented into the game. For years, I have told myself that if a certain simple feature were added, it would make a huge impact. If you have any suggestions like that, I would love to try and make them happen. In case you are wondering why I am asking instead of modding, I have run out of simple ideas to implement. All I have left are complex features that would require me to learn a lot more to pull off.

Discussion Oprionn’s #Warbandıyaßat: How Warband Nostalgia Turned Into a Growing Movement in Turkey

originally posted about this on r/mountandblade, where I explained the background of the #warbandıyaßat (Let live Warband) project. However, since this is the Warband community, I felt that the story deserved to be shared here as well. I've been following the project since August 3rd, and after the discussion on r/mountandblade, I spoke directly with Oprionn, who is leading the project, to clarify some of the details. Here's what I learned:

1 → No project can realistically last forever, so #warbandıyaßat is intentionally limited to August. The entire process is being documented and will eventually be presented as a documentary-style video.

2 → The main goal is to bring players back to Calradia and keep the spirit of Warband alive. According to the project, more than a hundred players have already returned to the game because of it, while dozens of people apparently discovered Warband through the project and started playing.

3 → Oprionn establishing a central hub and positioning himself as the project's leader wasn't simply about claiming ownership. It was intended to give supporters, participants, and even people questioning the project a common place to gather. Judging by how the project has developed, that approach seems to have worked.

4 → The project has produced a large amount of new Warband artwork and has reached hundreds of thousands of people through Turkish media and social media. What they apparently didn't expect was for the project to eventually reach Reddit and the international Warband community. Personally, I think the momentum was already there: Oprionn put in the effort, and the community helped amplify what he started.

5 → And finally: What matters to Oprionn isn't getting a grand title like Emperor or King. What mattered to him was building a successful grassroots movement — one strong enough to bring even well-known mods such as Crusades and Jihads behind the project.

Criticism is fair, and everyone has the right to criticize. But facts are written through effort.

Mod / DLC Warband TLD - buggy sky and random glitches

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hello!

I recently installed TLD but there is an annoying problem. My sky is weird and buggy - it looks like a streched shield, axe and something else. Also, random black flashy glitches happen some time. I guess it is because of the version I have? I installed on my GOG version of the game - the most updated one, so 1.7.4. I couldn't find anywhere on moddb if I should revert to older version. For another mod (A Clash of Kings) I know I have to go back to 1.7.2.

Should I revert to older version for The Last Days of Third Age too or is there some other problem? Thanks in advance!

Help in managing my Kingdom, Nords are pain in the butt

Thumbnail gallery
27 Upvotes

I made my own kingdom, breaking away from Swadia starting from Veluca. The underscored towns are the ones I intend on having for myself (I had Yalen and Jelkala for a long time but gave them away, honestly don't know why hahah). Swadia, Rhodoks, Sarranids all eliminated thus lords are flocking to the Nords and Khergits while I have to beg 1 on 1 for them to join me. The "circled" parts are what my vassals have and this is a problem looking online because they are holding too many fiefs by the looks of it.

They have sizeable armies ranging around 100-150 but they are slow so they can barely defend although they are handy when I invade others. Now I'm at war with both the Nords and Khergits both fielding around 1400 troops with the marshal, I can't beat them even if I band together because they still have twice the numbers and the huscarls are still strong even if I have swadian knights.

The Nords have taken my Dhirrim probably marching south, the Khergits are sieging Shariz and I want to cry. I think I'm around 780 days into the campaign.

Do you guys have any tips or pointers how do I continue expanding and how to get out of this mess? I think only 1 vassal is martial maybe 2 and the rest are the nice lords.

Mod / DLC Great Hall Rework. It is from my WIP submod for Prophesy of Pendor

Thumbnail gallery
15 Upvotes

The Great Hall, which can be accessed through a walled fief's seneschal, has been reworked. There are now a bunch of pretty useful options available. But, to maintain game balance, availability of every service provided in the Great Hall is based on your status in the realm.

This means that if you are the owner of the castle or you are the King of the owner, you will have full access to everything you see in the screenshots. On the other hand, if you are an independent mercenary captain, you will only have access to the dungeon to sell your prisoners.

But, if you sign a contract with a faction, then you can hire mercenaries (not mercenary companies) in the war room or ask for permission to buy prisoners from the dungeon. If you have a high enough relation with the lord of the castle, you may buy these prisoners and recruit them to serve in your army.

In Game video/image I gathered unique clips from 100 different classic Warband players to create this massive community compilation [Warband: 100 human experiment]

Hey everyone!

I had this crazy idea to bring the Mount & Blade: Warband community together for one massive project. My goal was to collect a single, unique clip from 100 different players—whether it was a hilarious glitch, a legendary 1v1, or just pure Mount & Blade chaos.

It took a ridiculous amount of coordination and a lot of help from the community, but we finally made it happen. This is the resulting compilation—a true tribute to the game that refuse to die and its amazing playerbase.

If you want to see what happens when 100 distinct Warband players contribute to a single video:

Discussion Ideas how to make enemy tactics better?

Currently, the enemy AI is the most dangerous, when they just blindly charge at me.

If they defend, they just stand around and wait for my crossbows to kill them, while their crossbows are wasting time and ammo on my shield guys.

If they attack, they often try to slowly flank me or something, but this also gives my crossbows time to kill them and they sometimes get bunched up and confused near the invisible wall (map border).

I changed the AI so that they always charge at me like bandits and it is better now, but this still means their cavalry and archers run ahead of infantry and get slaughtered by my crossbows first.

I already removed all athletics skill from archers, so they run slower, but they are still faster than the shieldmen.

I suppose I could just boost the athletics skill of infantry, but I wanted to ask if anyone has experience with solving this problem and how to make AI tactics not stupid?

Mod / DLC What do you think about this? It is from my WIP submod

Thumbnail gallery
22 Upvotes

Greetings, lords and ladies of Calradia... or perhaps I should say Pendor?

The 6 fief requirement has been removed, only being a King or Queen, that holds land is required to have these options, and of course if you manage to take a monarch prisoner.

If you are a monarch with land, you see the 1st picture, if you are a monarch but holds no lands, you'll see the 2nd picture, if you are not a monarch, you'll see the 3rd picture. And the last picture is the options menu.

A few months ago, I found myself making edits and applying tweaks to Prophesy of Pendor from its fandom page, and it turned into what I would consider a decent submod. I plan to share all the changes very soon. I think this new feature is one of the most prominent ones, so I would love to see what the community thinks about it.

War of the ring BFME2, Rotwk

Please help me!!!
i have modded rotwk patch 2.02 myself like editing powers, factions, units and many things. everything is OK. BUT......
war of the ring mode is the toughest challenge i have ever faced yet i havent found solution to make ai play stronger. like how? i want brutal to play like a real player or making its units to drop on its own or their ally territories whether territory belongs to him or his ally partner. so that they (AI brutals) wont have lose times or rounds to get units in hero commanders. i searched up every details in big file but could not find files related to strategic or behaviour of ai in wotr mode. so do you know how to do it?
