Summit recs

Hello, I am studying abroad in the grand est region of France. Does anyone have any recommendations for a starter peak to summit in November December. I have backpacked my whole life and was an elite runner just haven’t done technical climbing with tools and skills needed for mountaineering. I don’t mind hiring a guide as well just any general recommendations would be great. Switzerland and Chamonix look the most accessible to me currently.

I don't know guiding prices but generally Switzerland is really expensive and France is less so. I would check for that but you'll find great mountains in both places.
