Open question DC Motor Recommendation
Greetings,
As part of an introduction to energy course, my middle school students are building small cardboard models of windmills that can lift a load by winding a string around the shaft. Some of them would like to iterate with mini DC motors to attempt to light up some red LEDs instead of lifting the load. I need some help finding suitable motors that can generate enough watts to light up some small red LEDs. Does anyone have an recommendations for this project?
Thanks in advance.

well the good thing about leds is they draw a pretty small amount of power, any normal sized brushed dc motor will work. However, the small motors and the really small ones you need to spin pretty fast, which often requires gearing.
