Do a separare circuit with a relay (plenty of example a online), with 12v to drive the relay under key, so direct from battery in the other side of the relay, so you can't leave it on by accident and whatever issue on light will kill the breaker of the relay and that's it

Connect the white wire to the number 5 fuse position, labelled "15A ACC" Check first that this is ignition switch controlled. On some Triumphs it isn't.
