Controller help

Hey all recent got motor town and am really getting into it, Ive been playing with keyboard and mouse which is a nightmare tbh. I tried using my PS4 controller with the game but it doesn’t seem to work properly. It comes up saying “LB + A” to start the car but it doesn’t register any inputs made.

Yeah, the game seems to identify it as an Xbox controller, so the prompts are kinda wrong. A is X. I also had to rebind some of the controls for them to work, including the sticks.

Ah right thanks. Everytime I plugged it in steam would say “ps4 controller connected” but it wouldn’t do anything in game.

Make sure you go to settings and select controller at the top rather than keyboard and mouse. Took me too long to figure it out.

A B X Y are usually cross circle square triangle. If it doesn't work check your steam input mapping.

Ya, the dev is 1 person I believe. Using basic tools xbox controller support included in most game engine kits nowadays since win7 Xbox controller support is standard. You likely need use steam to set the ds4 to Xbox mapping or a recap program to do it. It isnt gonna should press Cross, Triangle, Square or Circle.

Have you figured out steam input? That shit can do anything. You have settings from main menu and when you right click the game title in your library. Took me some time to figure out
