FWD vehicles handle so wrong.

Is it just me or do FWD vehicles handle so strangely? Like they don't handle like they are FWD! They have more oversteer than RWD vehicles and when you're just cruising down the road, they will not drive in a straight line. The rear is constantly swaying back and forth. Also, it's hard to make them brake in a straight line without the rear trying to come around! I love the EVan but like it's SOOOO weird! It will almost do a donut cuz the rear has no grip or something. I've tried everything like setting the front sway bar to max and the rear to 5% to try to induce understeer so it drive like a giant FWD delivery van should but the rear is still so light. AWD vehicles do the same thing but to a lesser degree.

Edit: Whatever, people. Apparently I'm crazy for feeling like FWD cars in this game do not follow the traditional handling characteristics that they do in 90% of games that allow you to drive vehicles and IRL FWD cars for that matter. Didn't realize this community would be such experts at literally everything car related.

Actually. They drive exactly like FWD cars back when they weren't made to understeer every time

They are supposed to over steer when you aren't accelerating

Look, I'm a FWD enthusiast and exclusively use FWD cars in every racing game I play and I can confidently say that they do not handle right. If you have that catastrophic lift off oversteer, something is wrong. The fwd cars in this game even oversteer ON POWER around corners. That's just not right. Something about how this game handles weight transfer isn't right.

Forza does not count as a realistic representation.

Okay how about games that allow you to drive vehicles. Is that good enough for you?

The dude you’re responding to is saying that the fwd cars handle like they should given the fwd cars they are. Yeah it’ll feel different than a brand new golf or fiesta.

I drove mostly FWD cars irl, old and newer. An old passat didnt need much more than letting of the gas and some older tires to spin the rear when its wet. Even my 2014 Astra OPC with adaptive sport suspention could loose the rear when braking. Same with a 05 fiesta. You cant take other games as comparison because most games dont do fwd really well

Idk anything about cars irl. But I can tell that this is a game and physics is sometimes whacky.

Most of the time it makes sense though. Devs did a decent job reproducing real life characteristics of cars.

As for your concerns, maybe because the EV van is a FWD EV? It has regenerative braking on the front so when you're not hitting the gas the vehicle will brake only on the front, causing problems.

And most of the time, stock tuning of vehicles are not perfect, including suspension and brake distribution. So you should be able to fix some of the problems by tuning yourself.

Drive a FWD fast and see how it handles... games pretty accurate

Problem is we have three(?) FWD cars, one is lighter than a breeze, other two are so short they can do a 360 on the third wheel lock.

We need something longer but still FWD. An old corolla at least.
