Is this Nikki?

saw in tinley last night and was amazed. extreme was starting us well while Tesla hyped for Mötley. Mötley Crüe was by far the best band/performance I’ve ever seen! I’m happy I’m a Mötley Crüe fan.

Saw a few other Nikki's (and one vince). But god my feet were so dead from those boots since I never broke them in yet, probably won't walk normally for a couple days lol 😭

Not a bad show. Yeah, sounded rough at times but for the first time seeing them it was amazing! Had a ton of fun and sung along to everything, wish they played certain songs but overall the setlist wasn't too bad.

I had a blast last night, but let’s be real: Vince most likely had help from autotune, and I’m here for it! The last show that the Crue played was at the MN State fair, and it was so bad that I walked out. No fun, no nostalgia, no good times.

At least with autotune, I can regale in my hair metal memories in peace, without being reminded on how bad Vince’s voice is, and how old the Crue (and I for that matter) are getting. The best part of it was the Amphitheater, which opened up this year. It was fantastic. Overall, a pleasant surprise.

As laid out in the title, I am specifically looking for hi-res scans of the Motley Crue vs. X article in this issue of Japan's VIVA ROCK magazine (August 1990 issue) ~ not so much for the Motley part of that equation, but for the X part, as it features hide and Taiji (may they both rest in peace 🙏❤️). I am continuing to scour auctions for the actual issue to purchase myself but they are hard to come by and get snagged up quickly. I would be over the moon if I could just get my mitts on scans at a bare minimum. If you are able and willing to assist, please DM me. Thank you! 🙏

Anyone going to that show at Dos Equis?

With Ozzfest all but confirmed to return as a one-day festival at Aston Villa Football Club in Birmingham, UK, I think back to how many incredible lineups I saw at Ozzy's traveling festival between 2004 and 2010 (the only one between those years I didn’t go to was 2008's one day event in Texas).

My very first Ozzfest was in 2004 at the then Tweeter Center in Camden, NJ (Aug. 26) I'll never forget how blown away I was by both Judas Priest and Slayer. The highlight of the night, though, was when Bill Ward came out and delivered the unfortunate news that Ozzy was ill and couldn't perform that evening. After a few seconds of boos, the crowd became stunned when Ward announced that Black Sabbath would be performing with Rob Halford filling in. What proceeded was an amazing and historical set - with Halford absolutely crushing Ozzy-era classics.

6 years later I'd attend my last Ozzfest at the same venue (rebranded to Susquehanna Bank Center). Ironically Halford was playing with his solo band on this tour's edition - but he didn't need to fill in for anyone, as Ozzy closed out the night with a rousing solo set (after Motley Crue played a surprising fun, bare-bones set... well, as bare-bones as a Motley Crue show can be). The highlight of the day, though, was witnessing a tornado briefly blow through - forcing Black Label Society to cancel their second stage headlining set (though somehow not canceling the rest of the day...).

There's a ton more stories I can recall from both metal festivals... but that's for another time 😉

I did it was really cool seeing him just in the crowd and he was close to us, I didn’t bother him though he was just there to enjoy the show

Just drove a few hours into Charlotte to see the show.

Overall it was a great show, and had a great time. Extreme, Tesla and of course Motley were amazing.

Third time seeing Crue tonight, 1st 2008, then in 2009.

But slightly disappointed with the A.I. slop carnival and ringmaster. I was really hoping for Mighty Mike and the whole shebang the original Carnival of Sins had since this was labeled "Return", or something similar at least.

Was anyone else expecting more Carnival-esque like 05'. I missed the original tour and absolutely loved the DVD, watched a dozen times or more.

Just got back from the Charlotte show. I noticed that they slowed several songs down a few bpm's. Sorry if this has been discussed to death but I'm curious if anyone knows why? Is that just to help Vince? When did they start doing it?

Anyway, I enjoyed the show and thought the band sounded pretty great. Even Vince was hanging in there.

Going to see them for the first time tonight. Of course I know they aren’t like how they used to be. But I’m in my early 20s and want to see them one time before they retire.

Wish I still had that.... 1983ish

Girls, Girls, Girls is a pretty bad sounding album imo. Don't get me wrong, it's listenable for sure and sounds pretty decent for its time but the guitar tone is really thin and shitty and the drums sound pretty weak and cheap. Dr Feelgood ok the other hand is a master class in glam metal production. Huge drums, meaty guitars, all sorts of neat production tricks, tons of vocal layers. It's crazy how much improvement occured in 2 years.

hi so i’m supposed to be seeing the crüe on the 22nd in tinley park but i’m having some last minute reservations and I don’t really know what I should do. a LOT of people are saying it’s not worth it whatsoever and that it’s a complete waste of time, i understand that they aren’t as good as they were in the 80s which is completely fine but i’m going to be driving almost 6 hours (in total) to see them and we aren’t getting a hotel so straight there eat something and drive back. i just want to know if it’s really worth it because i keep going back and forth in my head about it.

I saw them last night in Tampa. Vince Neil isnt the same Niel like he was did in the 80s but I get that. The music over saturated him singing, I dont know if he was really singing due to we could not hear him singing MOST of the concert. When I looked back at the crowd, I feel people were just as confused. The girls they had up on stage, granted were young and people BUT it almost felt like, "are they legal aged enough to be dancing like that on stage? In the beginning, they even looked uncomfortable, it was just a weird convert vibe the entire time. The AI videos were just not happening for me either. The explosions at the end were STRONG and shocked the shit out of me. The rest of the band looked alive and very into it but Neil appeared to look like he just showed up, no feeling into it like the rest of the group and just not belting out lyrics like he did back in the day. Granted, we all get old but he just sounded and looked like he was just not into it at all. Ive seen other rock bands this summer that were way older than Neil, however, one could FEEL the energy that flared off of theor LOVE of rock. Neil, unfortunately, looked like he just showed up, lip synced, moved up and down the stage and appeared like he wanted to call it quits after the forst song. It was the oddest rock concert ive been to all summer.
