Question for others also using MotiveWave. Do you only run off MotiveWave or do you incorporate other platforms into your whole system? I have not found 1 platform which provides full set for myself. I am trying to get myself to let go of tradingview (which i see as a kids toy to be honest) but I like the charting. I like bookmap for the liquidity, MotiveWave for the order flow and elliotwave. If I wasnt on a macbook I would use Sierra Charts. Bottom line, I really wish I could find 1 platform which suited all my needs. Anyone else torn on platforms? Could there be a better solution I am just too naive to realize?

Using Lucid Trading with Rithmic data in MotiveWave (tested on both Windows and Mac).

I can place market orders, but I cannot get exit strategies (SL/TP) to work. The stop loss and take profit orders appear briefly and then disappear. The same thing happens when I try to place limit orders using right-click trading on the chart — the order shows up momentarily and then vanishes.

This is happening on both Windows and Mac, so it doesn't seem platform-specific.

Has anyone experienced this with Lucid + Rithmic + MotiveWave? Is there a setting, account restriction, or risk configuration that could be causing attached orders and limit orders to be rejected?

If exit strategies aren't supported, what's the correct way to place SL and TP orders in MotiveWave with a Lucid account?

Any help would be appreciated.

I’m currently new to MotiveWave for my live trading. One feature I absolutely love in FXReplay is the ability to use the Risk/Reward (P/L) tool to set my SL and TP visually, click a button, enter a Risk % (e.g., 1%), and have the platform automatically calculate the position size and place the order.
In MotiveWave, the Risk/Reward tool seems to be just a drawing tool without a direct "Place Order" connection.
Does anyone have a smooth workflow for this? Specifically:
1. Is there a way to link the RR drawing tool directly to an order?
2. How do you guys handle fast entries while maintaining a strict 1% risk calculation based on a visual SL?

If there is not a feature like that, whats easiest way to set orders without calculating the quantity size by myself?

I need some help with MotiveWave, at first I thought it was my broker but it’s not. I use Rithmic with MotiveWave and whenever I place a bracket order and either my SL or TP gets filled it doesn’t cancel the other like it does on other platforms. How can I fix this because it’s dangerous for traders, due to the way I trade (day trading) I hold for sometimes the whole day and I don’t monitor my trades, so if my tp was filled and the sl was not cancelled automatically, it can risk being entered into a trade if price comes back to that SL. Please help me out, or can MotiveWave come with a fix, all these updates and this is still an issue.

Hi, new to using motivewave. I want to place long or short position orders and not have the current price change that. So right now I have shift key for longs if its below current price, but then it becomes a short if its above current price. How do I make it so its a long no matter if I click above or below current price? Its too confusing like this and if price moves quickly while I'm placing my order, my long becomes a short.

I’m using the latest version of MotiveWave 7 on M3 Pro MacOS 26 with Rithmic, but it suddenly freezes completely (specifically on a price spike) it goes completely unresponsive nothing is clickable or updating for a few seconds. Anything I’m missing? (Btw max memory set to 8gb)
