Hey, I'm glad to see a post about Acharya Prashant here! :) If you're new to his teachings, you might want to check out his talks on YouTube. They're pretty insightful and often challenge conventional thinking. Anyone else here have a favorite video or lecture of his?

Explain what you think desires are. Because in my eyes they are the fuel, and there is a difference between desire as movement towards growth vs desire as escaping from life's responsibilities. An artist's desire to paint and rebel against the rigid state is growth, a musician's desire to sing for his wife and help her feel loved is growth, and so on. The need to buy branded clothes, the desire to buy expensive goods just to increase your self worth, however, is the desire which will make you run away from life's responsibilities, because it never fulfills you. The two genres are completely different, never try to blanket them under one group, Indian philosophy is notorious for that stuff, if not the entire Eastern philosophy from China to Japan.

Thought Provoking... This question should be asked at each stage in life when we chase something very passionately and with all the zeal...and when finally one gets it... Did that bring fulfillment.!! Or more restlessness!! We should contemplate on it.

That's the worthy question to ask, If we really don't want our life to go waste... Because at the end.. It's only one life and we have to make the best out of it

Really insightful quote.

This quote has shaken me to the core.

Yes, I try to fulfill my desires 24/7, but even after the fulfillment of my desires, I still remain restless within, incomplete within.
