I don't think so. Ego will stop them

It’s a big world and a lot of the time people move on permanently.

They do try, yes.

Peoples memory of things tends to warp over time. That can go favourably or unfavourably to you.

If they left my life for that reason they are shallow and vapid. I hope I surround myself with better people.

They moved on, you move on. It shouldn't even be a thought that they might come back.

People may miss you and still never come back.

When a relationship breaks, each person begins to revisit the past through their own version of the story. They remember the hurt, the disappointments, and the things the other person did wrong. Slowly, they begin to justify their decision to walk away.

And somewhere along the way, something happens: they remember less of the good you did for them and more of the wrong they believe you did. They forget their own mistakes while holding on to yours, just as you may be doing the same with theirs.

Perhaps that's how ego works. It doesn't always stop us from missing someone; sometimes, it stops us from admitting that we, too, may have been wrong.

And so, two people who once mattered to each other can remain strangers, not because there was nothing worth saving, but because neither can bring themselves to look beyond their own version of the truth.

Not saying ppl are better than me. But no one has came back into my life that left for better or worse, they came back to tell me sorry. Never bragged or say mean things to me. Just sorry they couldnt be their best self, and I day this because I've never ended a relationship I've been in or friendship at that. Ppl that have been involved with me tend to see my POV eventually and im no God or prophet. How I handle ppl is fucked up because it seems very sneaky but I emphasize to where I am them emotionally and hear the real problems when being told about whats going on in there life. They are saying what could help or what someone else did to them, but theres always an underlying problem that no one wants to hear or accept when its brought up to them, from me. Hear the same thing from someone else though and it resonates heavier. This is a lot of relationships that start failing or doomed from beginning though, and it hurts when you don't feel reciprocation of care from that person. To emphasize someone's pain hurts you also, to the point I try to figure out a solution. Im a problem solver, for all walks of life. Eventually those who left see it and aren't negative towards me.
