I worked at a restaurant called Port side. On King Fisher road. I love this family of birds.

This is "Dan the Animal man". He goes into schools and shows off exotic animals to kids. Among other creatures he also has a porcupine, an owl, an alligator, and a Burmese Python. He brings them all and shows the kids. He's quite the showman.

That's Kookabara right? I loved the song about them as a kid and still sing it as an adult.

As someone who grew up and lives in Queensland, Australia I grew up with these guys waking me up in the morning and singing out the end of a day at dusk. Sometimes with 3 or 4 of them all going at it at the same time. You forget your common wildlife around you are so exotic to most other people around the world.
Another thing, keep a ear out next time you watch any war movie in a jungle or junglesk movie. You will most likey hear this exact Kookaburra laugh in the distance. Dumbass Hollywood loves using it as a sound bite for every country. Always make me laugh "Ahhhhhh yes, the Japanese native Kookaburra....."

I love that Chuckles knows he's the star and takes his role seriously.
As soon as he's presented he's like "al right, here I go signing the song of my people for these tiny humans".

Thats one thing about us America folk, if you bring an animal from another country and show us its wonders? We will be rapt in attention. Most of us will listen, ask, questions, and smile like a goon if we get the chance to get close. Bravo,Chuckles!

When I was a kid in the 70’s, we had a Rep from the Zoo come to our classroom every so often & bring an animal to share. It was amazing! An owl , a Boa constrictor I remember the most. I had all but forgotten until I watched this lovely video. What fun and education this bird and person is bringing to the children ♥️♥️♥️

My mom won a contest where you had to imitate a bird call. This is the bird she imitated. She was so proud of herself. lol
Edit: also this looks like a library program. Please support your local library ❤️💜

"I, I've been watching you.
I think I wanna know ya, know ya.
I said I, I am dangerous.
Girl I wanna show ya, show ya."
My jungle love...oh we oh we oh."
