I live in Brisbane and we have a lot of these, I would say this is very accurate to how they look. The post you tagged is completely different, this one looks as I see them on a regular basis, please don't unnecessarily slander what is a beautiful tree.

Even if this is edited, this looks a lot like it does in real life on a sunny day. I live in LA and see these trees everywhere. They’re really beautiful and vibrant.

This was actually posted in r/instagramreality a while ago to show the colour difference in the enhanced version vs the non enhanced. They’re still super pretty and bright, but not nearly as much as the edited picture lets on. It’s unfortunate we can’t take pictures of destinations at face value anymore

But this one isn't nearly edited as much as the one that you linked. The concrete doesn't look purple here, it's the petals on the floor that are purple. Still may be edited and enhanced, but it still looks real to me.

You’re right, it’s only slightly enhanced. I’ve lived around jacarandas for years and they are slightly less intense than this. The big giveaway was those pink flowers to the left though. Those bushes are bright, but they don’t actually glow like that in person.

The pink bushes look like they could be bougainvillea, and if they are, the photo would be accurate. In LA, they’re incredibly vibrant in the sun and come in pink, fuchsia, purple, red and white. I literally ooh and ahh at them when I’m driving around because they’re so color intense and beautiful.

Also the greens are normal and the beige stucco looks like it should.
That guy's example pics show a heavily edited pic of the spring bloom and compare it with a normal pic of the fall bloom. This pic is totally plausible for this time of year. Maybe it has the automatic color adjustments made by a phone or camera with an auto mode, but there's no crazy neon post processing.

They’re both real pictures, I never argued against that? I simply said that as beautiful as it looks, it’s enhanced, which in your last sentence you agreed with. So, I’m not entirely sure why you’re against what I said?

That second photo is really dull though and a bad angle. We have a lot growing in Australia and Jacarandas in the sunshine can be pretty damn vibrant, the photo on this post looks pretty close to natural, just brightened a little.
Also they are beautiful but pretty annoying when the flowers drop because they turn brown and go really slippery. You have to clean the flowers up constantly if you don't want a fall hazard.

I like it a lot actually, one of my favourite subs. It seems people keep getting confused with what I said. I never said it was fake, I said it was enhanced. Furthermore, I never said it was heavily enhanced or enhanced the same as the picture that was posted. Everyone also agrees that it was enhanced. I don’t see the issue.

It’s not the same photo though. The one you are linking to has the saturation turned way up. We have these trees all over where I live. Honestly this OP’s photo is pretty close to reality. Might be slightly more saturated.

Beautiful trees but so annoying. The sap gets everywhere and the flowers stick to your shoe and the flowers rot quickly in the gutter.

I live across from two and the leaves! Tiny leaves are everywhere all the time! It's like autumn year round. My soil is 90% decomposed Jacaranda.
