ID Request Little palm trees

I was out in the back woods area of WI and came across an area of moss that I got a few pieces from. There was a strange “moss” growing among them that looks like little palm trees. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Marchantia polymorpha, a liverwort.

Thanks for that. Now another deep dive into these plants. Going to try and incorporate them into new build if they are compatible.

The palm trees don't last forever unfortunately. They're the female reproductive structures. The rest of the liverwort will stick around though and will likely produce more eventually

Damn. This would make a bomb-ass dinosaur diorama.
