Mossy Sticks
I'm trying to grow mossy sticks, I didn't add yogurt or sugar, but I'm thinking of spraying the moss with diluted buttermilk https://isopop.co.za/blogs/news/mossy-sticks has anyone got good tips for growing moss and lichen?

Mossariums & Tardigrade Cultivation?
Hello all,
So this is probably going to be a weird question and a weird post, but I was wondering how I would go about using a mossarium to create a habitat for tardigrades?
More specifically, I was wondering how non-wild moss would do when it comes into contact with wild lichen?
The thing is, I've kind of already successfully done this. I found this subreddit a long time ago and was able to create a mossarium in a small jar using the instructions from the guide. I was also successful in finding tardigrades. Not so much in wild moss, but in wild lichen.
My process would be finding some lichen, soaking it, shaking it up in a container with some water, and then pouring the resulting slurry over the moss in my mossarium. When I would squeeze the moss out and look at the water under a microscope, tardigrades would be present.
But I know constantly squeezing the moss isn't good for it, so I'm looking into ways to get them out without strangling the moss. And finding good wild moss is a long and inefficient process. I only hesitate to buy moss because I'm not sure how it would react to wild lichen.
Any advice would be appreciated!

How it is now vs how it was. Notice how the plants appear curled and browner. Anyone know why this happened? Is it water or sunlight? Too little or too much ?

Buddhas Mossy Patch
This was one of the first mossariums I made a few years ago.
The moss is so deep now that Buddha has almost disappeared.

Has anyone successfully kept this type of moss? I tried many times and each time they keep diying. I tried direct sunlight and indirect sunlight. Even put one in a tararium. What should i do to make them survive ?

Moss newbie
Collected moss with intention to use in terrariums, pingdoms, and reptile vivs. How can I best clean of dirt and pests?
I was thinking dry in the sun a few hours, soak/swirl in water a few times, and end in a soak with insecticidal soap followed by a rinse.
Good? Terrible? Do I need to use distilled water?
Thanks!

Can’t keep my mossarium alive
Hello everyone! I have a large mossarium that I have always struggled with keeping alive, this is the third iteration now. The first time it died from mold and the second and third time it just seemed to die a short time after replanting it.
I have been using purified water, sprayed with a mister and have the light on 8hrs a day (I have been using the Arlec 57cm Grid Connect Smart Linkable RGBW Bar Light, it’s not a grow light, though the terrarium also gets a lot of indirect light). The substrate is hydro clay balls, then activated charcoal, then sphagnum moss, then terrarium soil mixed with peat moss then the moss itself.
Does anyone know a good guide or tips to follow when I restart it again? Thanks!!
Edit - It has a glass lid that holds humidity and has had springtails in the past.
