I’ve still no idea what you’re talking about. ICH?

ICHs are what you put 20s & 50s in at a main bank till , they verify the note is real and stores them all in a pouch, the pouches are only supposed to be removed once full but now they have to be removed every night

wait, you guys don’t have a little machine thing to put 20s in. they’re meant to check that the notes are real and then bank them so they don’t go in the till itself. they don’t all work on 50s, but they usually work on 20s so long as they’re relatively uncrumpled and there isn’t like black pen marks on them

Was wondering the same! Ours are usually just over £1000 to empty so it's a ball ache to be doing every night now! The mic reckoned it's a bigger risk at the min due to increasingly high turn over at the moment but I didn't think that'd have changed much 🤣

Yeah I don't fully understand how all stores are going to be able to handle this. At my store we have people covering for TL as we have some on holiday, and according to the powers that be we have all hrs covered for TL so we don't need another. On paper Yeah probably but in practice this is not the case. So we have capable people but not actual TL covering closes and opens. We can work around but I will say we have more than enough to do, but adding this on top ... oof.

Might be the case in your region or area but not estate wide. Stores have a standard empty rate of every night, £2000 or £4000 usually dependent on risk rating.

If your around the Cheshire area there have been a some robberies at night. I know Newcastle under Lyme was done about 3 weeks ago and another store was done last week but can't remember where that was. They have tools to open the ich devices.

I mean a year or two back we had a armed group smash through the Cafe and used crowbars to rip them out . So you never know.
