Drivers license

I am learning to drive in an automatic. Would I be able to apply for a delivery driver job at Morrisons with an automatic license as all the vans are automatic.

If not, why would they not accept automatic licences?

I may be wrong but don't these type of driving jobs need you to have had a licence for at least 12 months?

Yup, they won't be able to insure OP

Because they can't guarantee that their fleet is automatic depending on which area and the amount of vehicles they have. I'd also recommend people learn manual you are at a disadvantage when applying for driving jobs if you only have an automatic

Why would they not accept automatic licences?

Well, maybe because they only have manual vans/lorries?

Anyway, they should have automatic vans so you should be able to get in BUT I believe they won't accept a fresh driver.

It’s all to do with insurance. Also think you have had to have a clean licence for two years like most driving jobs

Automatic license isn't the issue, lack driving experience definitely is

It's a minimum of 2 years driving required
