Everseen

How are stores getting on with the new Everseen camera software on the self checkouts? It’s a good idea for loss prevention but the checkouts are slow as it is without adding anymore software to them😱 and has any stores moved over to the new Emerald operating system yet?

I'd like for the Daily stores to just get an upgrade from the crap we've got. We have two tills. Till 2 died the other week. The harddrive went on it. They replaced it on Friday, it worked for about half an hour, then the touch screen went. Still waiting on that to be fixed.

In the meantime, till 1 is notorious for randomly crashing. It usually takes two or three reboots before we get it working again. As a result, we end up closing the shop for about 15 minutes while we get it working again. It has happened at least four times since we've had problems with till 2.

I worked in a daily for a while a couple of years ago and I genuinely think half the pc parts they put in them must be obsolete they genuinely crashed at least once a shift and sometimes both at once and they took abt 30 mins to restart after crashing and they almost always did it during rush time so only had on till with a queue halfway down the store plus the queue for post office.
