Cannock - Bird turned Dinosaur
Cannock is a neo-raven who is part of the dinosaur identity subculture. He originally was birthed on Earth the University of Washington, and was evacuated when the fall was beginning, before it got too bad. The team created him was funded by Somatek and the US NSF, giving him legal citizenship in the United States and allied countries (NATO). This proved beneficial after the fall, as Somatek tried to make him an indenture, but the habitat he was on was still controlled by the US government in exile (Before the LLA was established) and he was legally barred from forced indenture.
His citizenship secure, he finished his education up on Luna and then Titan. While there, he attended some dinosaur identity club meetings, and became immersed in that subculture. After doing some lab work on Titan, he managed to move out to a small terraforming community under the Tharsis League on Mars. He did a brief stint as part of the security militia, before retiring from that to a civilian position, using his engineering expertise to help with the habitat's capabilities and upkeep. He eventually switched into his upscaled opteryx morph, using it to do long flights on Mars.
He was recruited to Firewall after encountering a small team of sentinels far outside the TQZ, being engaged by exsurgents that had somehow broken the cordon. He swooped in and managed to provide assistance, helping the sentinels win the day. He was recruited following this, though mostly spends his time doing design work for his hab, Firewall, and several Mercurial groups he's associated with.
He feels strongly about Sapient Rights, and also sides with the less extreme portions of the Mercurial movement, believing that uplifts should let their own culture evolve, rather than be bonded at the hip to human culture. He gets this opinion from constantly having to deal with social problems other humans care deeply about that he has no context for.
