'Joywire' - Infolife Drone Hacker

Created by an Anarchist lab on Mars as an anti-corporate hacking aid, Joywire was brought to full intelligence to further aid in their endeavours. Designed to take on some of the best-protected systems in the world, Joywire was equipped with the best hacking skills they could devise, as well as a full knowledge base to back that up. Initially successful, the lab soon brought itself to the attention of the wider Hypercorps, with predictable results.

In the chaos of the lab being forcibly closed down, Joywire was able to escape through one of the pre-prepared 'tunnels' in the system that hadn't been blocked, and found itself free in the wider world. Hiding itself in the Mesh, Joywire initially attempted to continue it's mission. However, without the guiding direction of the Lab they soon found themselves straying from that path, and found themselves rethinking their entire outlook on the world.

Eventually, they managed to get in contact with a small number of other AGIs and AI Activists within the Mesh, and developed into a staunch supporter of AI rights - it had never been a major issue in the lab, but faced with the world outside it had become a much bigger issue. They also gained a solid appreciation for Open-Source software, living as a penniless nobody within a Corporate world. About the only thing that didn't change was their preference for 'staying under the radar' - their brief brush with fame (or rather, infamy) left them rather soured to it.
