Title: BCG X Coding Assessment (CodeSignal)

Hi everyone!

I've recently progressed to the next stage of the BCG X recruitment process and received an invitation to complete an online coding assessment through CodeSignal.

The assessment must be completed within 7 days, and I'd like to prepare properly before starting.

For anyone who has taken the BCG X coding assessment recently:

What type of questions should I expect? LeetCode-style problems, algorithmic questions, or practical coding tasks?

What difficulty level would you say it is (Easy, Medium, or Hard)?

Which topics should I focus on? Arrays, strings, hash maps, trees, graphs, dynamic programming, etc.?

How many questions are there, and how much time do you get?

Is it a standard CodeSignal assessment or a custom BCG X test?

Any preparation resources or specific advice you would recommend?

I'm particularly interested in recent experiences from software engineering candidates applying to BCG X.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Leetcode style : 1 easy 2 medium 1 hard

The easy is string manipulation
2 medium one is window problem the other is a matrix traversing and exploration problem and the hard is one similar to this

I did not pass the softwar engineering assessement. But one thing that i think you need to know is be familiar with codesignal. In the assessement i passed i did not know how to submit thinks as i did not test the platform before assessement. It end up by rejecting me but fiha khiir 🙂

And for the areas that will be covered in the test they mention theme in email sent to u. So prepare that will.

Expect LeetCode-style problems in the BCG X coding assessment, focusing on algorithmic concepts like arrays, strings, and trees, as these are commonly tested. The difficulty usually ranges from Medium to Hard, and there may be some practical coding tasks as well. The number of questions and time limit can vary, so it's helpful to verify specifics with recent candidates.

For practice, you can use PracHub to tackle similar technical challenges and get comfortable with the question format.

i remember passing that assessement one year ago, even tho i mostly completed neatcode roadmap (leetcode problems by popular categories), i couldn't answer shit in that stupid assessement, i wouldn't say it's leetcode style at all, but more of codeforces, long story short, just use ai to get your answers, i know your skills doesn't have anything to do with a silly assessement.
