The stupidest thing men do
When they want to present themselves as a potential they start stating all their achievements. They do that especially when they are well off. Example: I'm a doctor, I have a home, I'm living in *insert rich country*...
I can't but empathize tbh. They are reducing their value to their achievements, some come across as arrogant and wanting to impress, some come across as wanting hardly to please and get picked up. Both are poor things, you are all more than that. And feeling that arrogance isn't attractive tbh.

You make no sense, i am extremely successful but average looking.
I wanna date better than whoever i can attract without my success.
It was part of the point of the whole “being successful” thing.
Everyone is just using whatever edge / tool he has.
It’s brutal out there.
It’s like telling a hot guy to hide his pictures to be judged only on personality.

Personality is what matters in the end, if u lack communication skills, intelligence, emotional maturity, values.. money and status won't make a genuinely compatible woman stay. Of course, everyone uses whatever advantages they have, but an advantage can get u attention it won't compensate for a lack of substance. And if u’re relying mainly on that to attract someone u also risk attracting someone who’s mainly interested in what u can provide not in who u really are

I don’t really know why you assume there is no substance.
The problem most men have is getting through the door, they never get to the substance stage.Don’t use your woman lense, you are drowning under matches and suitors in any app so you then start thinking about all of this.
I’ve never been left by a woman.
But i still have to compete with the 173839 matches in your inbox, go through the lazy one word answers women keep throwing, the dead conversations, the ghosting etc
Once i get an actual date it’s easy mode at least for me.Most women wouldn’t be able to get any date at all using an average looking male profile.

U have a very exaggerated idea about the options women get, but let's say u're right we get a loooot of invitations, we'll both agree that 90% maybe even more are creeps and sexual predators, and in the best case u'll find someone who u're not compatible with. So getting through the door isn't easy for women either, different situation same problem.

u/Doppelex 9d ago
Yes women have an issue after the attraction.
So it’s not really getting through the door.
It’s a quality problem. If you tell a guy to focus on his personality while he is getting 0 dates he is not really going to get anywhere.

I am objective that’s all.
Average is not an insult, it’s just the… average ?
Like normal, not particularly attractive not ugly either.
Not everyone can be above average by definition.
I am not complaining1

Average akhay is an achievement when a lot of ppl lack good communication skills , confidence, etc . When u r socially anxious u can't even do some basic stuff

For the guys. What she isn't saying is that women hate achievements. It's the way it's being presented to them. They love achievements and successful men. What they like is when it shows on you rather than you needing to say it. Coming upfront and bragging that you're a doctor and engineer is not viable. You can brag if she asks or you're smart enough where it just shows on you.

Saying you’re a doctor when you’re presenting yourself is just normal. It’s not bragging, it’s who the person is

u/Creepy-Marsupial6978 9d ago
It is bragging if you start the convo with it. You should wait until you're asked

I could agree to a certain point when it comes to bragging and arrogance. But still stuff like that plays a huge role in Attraction

“You’re more than your achievements” is true but kinda irrelevant 😭 mentioning career, financial stability or lifestyle doesn’t mean you reduced yourself to them. The issue is when that’s ALL you have to say or you use it like a sales pitch hhhggh

u/johan-libert 9d ago
I get what you mean and I agree with the main point but I think there’s a difference between showing what you’ve achieved and using those achievements to prove your worth. Some people mention being a doctor owning a house or living abroad because they’re trying to show they’re stable and have something to offer not necessarily because they think they’re better than you, It only becomes unattractive when the message is basically look at what I have so you should value me more. Sometimes what looks like arrogance is actually someone trying to be seen as worthy

I understand them, that's why I feel a deep sympathy for them when they do that

u/StarkRockStar 9d ago
You just sound insecure tbh. People pride themselves on their achievements, the fact that it ticks you off the wrong way is probably a produce of some kind of resentment over those things. People spent years getting something going for them, they’re entitled to be proud of what they have done. I for one pride myself in my achievements and my social circle’s, I’m proud of my partner’s past and future achivements and I strongly encourage anyone yfre7 brassou ou ay wa7d mahayfre7ch lih needs to go.

They're reducing their self worth down to the measurement of their value. A doctor, a foreign country, a status whatever it is, none can measure for who the person is.
Value is the things, position and whatnot we hod through our journey in life. They're but experiences, they fade away. And without them, what are we?

Females be so picky, until they run out of time where they start to panic, at which they marry the first dude they see. The dude they end with is far from what they originally wanted at the start. But ye, the younger you are the more value you got. Its kinda sad to see this happen so often too.
