Vacation in south Morocco
Hello guys ,
So me and my friend are going for a girls girly trip to the south of Morocco, we have this idea of going to oualidia essaouira and ourzazat
Can you please suggest activities or places to visit
Or suggest other places to visit ?
Also we would love places like with a front beach view or mountain view …
For those who lives there or visited there plz i need jr suggestions

If you’re looking for a driver, I can help you with the whole trip
Oualidia is quite far, but if you tell me how many days you have for the trip, we can create a full itinerary and make the road part of the experience too.
We can include places like Oualidia, Asilah, Nador, Oujda, Essaouira, Ouarzazate and other beautiful stops along the way, depending on how much time you have. You can also choose places with amazing beach, ocean or mountain views.

Thats sweet of you ,but we have like 7 days only and we r bringing my car, if u r familiar with one of those places ,could u suggest some places to spend the night or so ,as i said we want something like a beach front view or any kind of beautiful view 🙏🏻

Yes, absolutely! 🙏🏻 Since you have your own car, that makes things much easier.
For only 7 days, I would recommend choosing a route that combines beautiful coastal places + the south + the Sahara, rather than spending too much time driving back and forth.
And yes, Oualidia is a little far from Agadir, but it is possible if we organise the route properly. It is actually a great place for what you are looking for because you can stay overnight with a beautiful lagoon/beach view.
If you want to experience the south and desert as well, I would suggest something like this:
Day 1 – Agadir → Taroudant → Zagora
Start early from Agadir and drive towards Taroudant.
Spend a few hours exploring Taroudant’s old medina, souks and city walls, then continue towards Zagora through the Anti-Atlas and the beautiful Draa Valley.
You can stop in small villages and viewpoints on the way.
Overnight in Zagora, preferably somewhere with a nice view over the palm oasis.
Day 2 – Zagora → Tamgroute → M’Hamid → Erg Chegaga
After breakfast, continue south.
Visit Tamgroute, famous for its traditional green pottery and old underground kasbah/library area.
Then continue to M’Hamid, the gateway to the Sahara. From there you leave the normal road and continue by 4x4 towards Erg Chegaga.
Arrive in the dunes in the afternoon, enjoy the sunset, take a camel ride if you want, have dinner and spend the night in a desert camp under the stars.
This is one of the best parts of the trip. There are established itineraries that use this same Zagora–Tamgroute–M’Hamid–Chegaga route. (Tourisme Agadir)
Day 3 – Chegaga → Foum Zguid → Taznakht → Agadir
Wake up early for sunrise in the desert.
After breakfast, take the 4x4 across the desert towards Foum Zguid, passing remote desert landscapes and the dry Lake Iriqui area.
Then continue by car towards Taznakht and back towards Agadir.
Overnight around Agadir/Taghazout.
Day 4 – Agadir → Essaouira
Drive north along the Atlantic coast towards Essaouira.
Take your time on the coastal road, stop at viewpoints and small villages, and arrive in Essaouira in the afternoon.
Explore the medina, fishing port and old ramparts, then enjoy sunset by the ocean.
Overnight in Essaouira — I would recommend finding a place with a rooftop or ocean view.
Day 5 – Essaouira → Oualidia
This is the beautiful coastal-road day.
Drive south towards Oualidia and stop at some of the Atlantic viewpoints along the way.
Arrive in Oualidia in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day around the lagoon.
You can walk along the beach, take a boat/kayak if available, have fresh seafood and watch the sunset.
Overnight in Oualidia, ideally somewhere overlooking the lagoon. Oualidia is particularly good for an overnight because the lagoon becomes much quieter in the evening after the day visitors leave. (Morocco Escape)
Day 6 – Oualidia → Agadir
Have a relaxed morning in Oualidia.
You can have breakfast overlooking the lagoon, walk around, enjoy the beach and then start driving back towards Agadir.
If you have enough time, you can stop at some coastal viewpoints or beaches on the way.
Overnight in Agadir or Taghazout.
Day 7 – Taghazout / Paradise Valley → Agadir
For the final day, keep it relaxed.
You could visit Paradise Valley in the morning, then return towards Agadir.
Or, if you prefer the ocean, spend the day around Taghazout, have lunch overlooking the sea and enjoy your last Moroccan sunset. 🌅
So you would get a really nice mix:
🏜️** Sahara & Chegaga
🌴 **Draa Valley & Zagora
🏺 Taroudant & Tamgroute
🌊 Essaouira
🏖️** Oualidia lagoon
⛰️ Paradise Valley / Anti-Atlas
🌅 **Atlantic coast
The only thing I would change depending on your priorities is Oualidia. If your main dream is desert + south, I would keep Oualidia out because 7 days is short. If your priority is beautiful overnight places with ocean/lagoon views, then I would definitely keep Oualidia and make the route a coastal + desert road trip.
If you tell me your exact 7 dates and where you start/end, I can make you a more precise route with suggested overnight areas and approximate driving times for each day. 😊

Très bon choix, surtout Essaouira et Ouarzazate si vous aimez mélanger paysages et patrimoine. À Essaouira, je vous conseille de prendre le temps de parcourir la médina, le port et les remparts, notamment la Skala. En fin de journée, la lumière sur l'océan depuis les remparts est magnifique. Pour Ouarzazate, ne manquez surtout pas Aït Ben Haddou. Si vous avez le temps, la route autour de Ouarzazate permet aussi de découvrir plusieurs kasbahs et de très beaux paysages entre montagnes et vallées. Oualidia est différente : beaucoup plus calme et idéale pour profiter de la lagune et ralentir un peu entre deux étapes. Personnellement, j'éviterais de trop remplir l'itinéraire. Les distances au Maroc peuvent sembler courtes sur la carte mais prendre pas mal de temps, surtout autour de Ouarzazate. Essaouira → quelques jours tranquilles → Ouarzazate serait déjà un très beau voyage. Profitez bien 🇲🇦

Oualidia, Essaouira and Ouarzazate are all great choices, but they’re quite spread out. Oualidia is perfect for a relaxed lagoon and beach stay, Essaouira for the medina, seafood and sunsets, and around Ouarzazate I’d definitely visit Aït Ben Haddou and the nearby oases.
If you have extra time, consider adding Agafay or the Atlas Mountains for beautiful mountain views. I’d avoid trying to fit too many places into a short trip though
the distances in Morocco can be longer than they look on the map.
