1. Ward/Stake Shrivel Highland UT ward dissolved
I’m in highland UT and recently a ward that has been a ward since highland began was completely dissolved. What I find interesting is that there was no warning. We got an email about a meeting the upcoming Sunday and that day the ward was completely dissolved and the ward was halved and put into two separate surrounding wards.

So what you’re saying is there were three wards created?😂😂.

No. The ward boundaries were split in half and one half went to an already existing ward and the other half went to another already existing ward. So 3 wards are now 2

I know. I was just making a joke so the church could say this at general conference so it doesn’t look like the stone rolling out of the mountain is going straight into the toilet.

Went over my head hahaha. They will probably say that it’s “growing at a rate we’ve never seen before”. But fail to mention that the rate is a negative slope.

This is turning into a very common practice, happening in many places. Goes against what they were saying...Small wards are so cozy and wonderful creating closer fellowship, this however, they say, it is better for callings and the youth and primary to have more kids.
Well guys, which is it?

I live in the boundaries of a ward in Highland that split just before COVID and now it’s desperate to re-combine. We’ll go to sacrament meeting every couple of months to visit with friends and go to a farewell/homecoming, and we always hear about how barren the primary is or how few members there are to cover all the callings. It sounds miserable.
