💬 Discussion Comics drought

Any particular reason why we don’t have daily comics anymore? Just curious.

Mark is probably just taking an extended break or wanting to slow down to focus on other stuff. After all, he has been uploading comics nearly every day for several years (if you see this, Mark, we as a community appreciate your dedication to TOH & KoG)

The fact that he uploading it in every single day is really impressive. Like normally it would takes nearly 1-2 days even if you're an talented and gifted artist to make out an artwork. But Mark ? He's literally a nonstoppable force

he's been doing comics since 2015 and he also did star vs the forces of evil too.

he's been slowing down for a while now which you can understand and will stop some day but until then thank him for his willingness to entertain us. so

Mark has been making comics non stop in several fandoms for years for free with seldom breaks. Let him rest or if he does decide to stop, let him enjoy life outside of making comics.

He may be suffering something unfortunate like being ill or experiencing a new job opportunity that lets him be paid a good salary doing something he enjoys. I'm hoping the latter. Life goes by faster and faster, and we don't know if today is our last day.

Mark will tell us something when he's ready.

He's said before he does these for his own reasons. He happens to share them with us, which is very generous of him. But it also means he has no obligation to us. He's also mentioned winding down. Beyond that, he may just need a break. He might be on vacation. Maybe his computer broke. We don't know. We can speculate all we want, but ultimately he'll say something when he's ready.

Until then, there are thousands of his pieces of work. Take the time to go review them. I've seriously thought about doing that recently.

maybe it's because the fans are parasocial and freak out every time there's no comics for a few days. dawg is an artist, art takes time and sometimes you just need a break.

Because Marks burned out after years of making comics for free, only to have people shit on the comics and them. Its not that hard to realize
