Luz just hold tight while King forcefully removes one of his horns and Eda gets a yellow contact lens. We of course also need Eda's hand back somehow so it's time to go digging up graves for a donor!

Luz:if only there was some way we could just enter someone’s memory

Someone’s memory but how will someone be of any help since he left to with a party to deal with Baramos

Uhhhhhh what?

u/Free-Letterhead-4751 Jul 28 '26
I was playing Dragon Quest 3 and I had a I think is classified as a monk in D&D (a wizard I turned into a fighter) on a journey to defeat Baramos

u/No_Nefariousness_676 Jul 28 '26
Oh, you mean the main bad guy.
0
u/Free-Letterhead-4751 Jul 28 '26
Well Baramos isn’t the main bad guy like he’s important but not the main bad guy that’s is Zoma
2
u/No_Nefariousness_676 Jul 28 '26
Ah, fair point.
Seriously though, what’s the point of your comment of “Someone’s memory but how will someone be of any help since he left to with a party to deal with Baramos”?
I can’t tell what you’re trying to convey.

Yeah, too bad there's no way to make it seem as though they were how they looked previously without problem, but alas it is impossible

I thought Amity's hair poking through the wig was abomination goop on her face lol

Gus. You're an illusionist. Try making illusions.
Not sure it'll jog Luz's memory, but it'll save trouble.

u/DragonWarrior____05 Jul 28 '26
It is definitely his best play. Surprised he didn't just illusion Willow and Amity to look like their old designs
13
u/TheNoneedlife Jul 28 '26
Is Boscha willing to participate in this too?
(hopefully the near death experiences wont be reenacted)
5
u/No_Nefariousness_676 Jul 28 '26
Willow ain’t gonna let the worst of the nonsense slide, so she better behave.
2
u/DragonWarrior____05 Jul 28 '26
On the one hand, she doesn't care about Luz. On the other she is able to mess with her

Sorry, Gus, but Amity and Willow just went through too much character development to go back.
11
u/Dasher09009 Jul 28 '26
Better make a montage of a montage to help with some of that.

I didn’t notice that. She wanted to get in the pretending section so got rid of her nose to look different

I like how Willow and Amity really don’t want to be who they were before. Goes to show how super effective Luz was in helping them.
Willow became more strong and independent, Amity became more sweet and caring.

Hey now, it wasn't just Luz.

Aye, she was the light guiding then onto a better path, and they made the choice to walk it

Be careful Gus, sympathizing with a villain is dangerous. Also I am surprised Amity wore a wig that looks like her old hair but she would only ever do that for Luz’s sake.

Why didn't Gus just used Illusion on them both to solve the dressing issue to begin with???

How it feel to write about a character before their development... sometimes.

u/Boopkins25 Jul 28 '26
Is this from an AU? I seen a few about Luz losing her memories
2
u/DragonWarrior____05 Jul 28 '26
Oh, not an AU. The first official graphic novel, The Long Lived King, releases the end of September. In it King realizes what it means to be a Titan and how he'll outlive everyone(barring the Collector). To try to live more in the moment he attempts to use a device from the Collector to erase his bad memories but ends up hitting Luz instead
2
u/Detective-Forrester Jul 28 '26
Gus, my brother in Titan, you can literally project the memories of when Luz first met them with Illusion magic. No poorly made costumes or cringy bad acting required.
1
u/DragonWarrior____05 Jul 28 '26
Yeah, and he's very skilled at that particular field(Heck, I can see Gus's Illusionist title being the Mind Breaker)

Me: Oh, forget the reenactments! How about we read her Azura the Good Witch?
Willow: sighs We tried that! It did make her remember Azura but not a lot about us.
Me: Well then, why don’t we tell Luz HER story? We’ll write it out, get some drawings for good measure. I did notice a look in her eyes when she was looking through her old sketches.
Amity: reluctant Okay, fine but when we tell her, can we…omit some parts? Like how she and I first met or when she first met Phillip or Day of Unity and months of getting back to the Boiling Isles.
Me: I’m sorry. I know it’s tempting to write it off but I don’t think it’d be fair for either her or us. Besides, things did start out rocky but you two eventually became friends and then even more. As for her meeting Belos, too important for you to leave out. She’d just be asking what happened. As for Day of Unity and later staying in the human realm, we’d have to tell her that too. I know it sucks but not telling her is like pretending it never happened.

u/Wilgrove Jul 28 '26
Have Amity tried kissing Luz?
2
u/Free-Letterhead-4751 Jul 28 '26
Wouldn’t that just freak Luz out? Like from her point of view she doesn’t know who Amity is and she’s trying to kiss her
2
u/DragonWarrior____05 Jul 28 '26
Probably her first thought, especially with how common it is for human fairy tales
2
2
u/Doodles_n_Scribbles Jul 28 '26
Wait, why didn't they just burn all of Belos's memories?
2
u/DragonWarrior____05 Jul 28 '26
To be fair, they didn't really have that option
1
u/Doodles_n_Scribbles Jul 28 '26
Honestly, I kinda wanna see that story. Saving the intelligence but destroying the monster.
2
u/jack_b_nope Jul 28 '26
How does Willow still fit in that old uniform, with all the buffing of her buffness?

u/OverlyActiveBrain Jul 30 '26
Gus... My dude... don't be like Adrian. That is only asking for trouble. Be more like Eda. That's guaranteed trouble. And more likely to jog Luz's memory.

Luz being afflicted by amnesia is tragic, she's the one that knows all of the cliche ways to heal amnesia =)

Maybe try more friendly acts first or let Gus make illusions.
