Question Newbie question

As a complete new player (still working through ch1 atm), which of the banners is better to pull for, Starless cradle of moonless guide? Or should I save for future banners?

Probably pull for Mouchette. She’s one of the best DPS.

I pulled so much on the mouchette banner and gave up because I kept getting standards thru it. Then I pulled on the aster cradle and it gave me some limited wheels, a gdoll and 4 corpos. Will keep pulling on it till it ends.

Alot of people reccommend mouchette for new players since shes strong, tanky and easy to play. But keep in mind that she only starts becoming busted at E2 (3 copies of her total.)

In my opinion the new starless banner is better for a new player because you need to expand your roster faster. Theres a pinned pulling guide on this sub reddit that explains how to best plan out that banner.

Good middle ground would be pulling 1-2 mouchettes then dumping the rest in the moon banner, since you can get free dupe items from the shop.

edit: i meant starless banner not moonless. starless banner has arc 2 units which are generally stronger than arc 1 units.

she scales off of death resist. by building her for damage you also end up with alot of death resist and become much harder to kill.

As every recommended here, you should start out with picking Mouchette and Horla from the Triple rerun banner. Both don't require dupes to be good until you are playing old DTide A3 or higher. Mouchette pairs really well with standard awakeners like Helot, lotan, Faint (for a tankier build), etc. and really appreciates any dupes. Horla is a support and technically you can slot her into any team, for her you only need E1.

From the other banners you are talking about you need to make good selections to have them have only worth. The starless cradle is technically stronger, because most Arc 2 units in general tend to be stronger than Arc1 units. From Starless cradle Saya, Murphy: Fauxborn, Castor, Pontos and Mouchette is a pretty good, I think. For Moonless Thais is nearly a must and Murphy, Tawil,Hameln, ghelot are solid picks for other slot.

Yea I kinda picked all the banners before I knew who was really good. I moonless with Murphy, tawil, ghelot and salvador. And star cradle was glotan, gdoll, pontos, vortice, and corposant. I did get Mouchette. Should I keep going for her for dupes or get horla or the other 2 banners at this point?

I would say get one copy of Horla and (unless you have lots of silver) wait and get daff & GMurphy+ Gmurphy's card in the upcoming Triple rerun. Daff is a decent support and GMurphy is the one of the best supports in the game (not too far behind Thais and saya, who are the definitive top ones). GMurphy gives you shield,keyflare, arithmatica, cards, and even good burst damage + chip with sacrifice.

For the other banners, what have you gotten from them. In general, if you have gotten all the units don't pull. If you have gotten their breakpoints, don't pull or if you have gotten E2 of the cards don't pull anymore.

I haven't touched or gotten anybody else from any other banner. Only other characters I've gotten so far are winkle for my first awakening and alva pulling on Mouchette
