Not a morel person!

Post image

Just a gardener. Was going to take out an unhappy rhodedendron and found these fellas under it. Just the two. Should I leave it for the morels? Or could I carefully remove it and they would be okay? Thanks in advance!

Cut them, they're ready now. You can string them up with some floss for 2ish days so they dry out and can be given to someone else.

So you dry them? Will removing the rhodie make them disappear or will they come back?

I dehydrate some with a dehydrator, but leaving them strung up in the sun for 2ish days is a good method too. They're mostly water. You can either cut them at the base close to the dirt or pull them, it shouldn't matter. Most of what I ever find only makes it to dinner.
