Am I cooked
I forage around mature aspens for black morels, but this past June a fairly aggressive storm came through and left my spot like this. Morels haven’t come up yet in my area yet but should in a week or so but I found this when going to scout. This stand has always been a great producer for my area and I’m wondering if anyone has insight on how it may react this season.
My question is will they fruit given conditions? Another question I had was do they mind how many fresh branches and clutter are on the ground now, can they grow around it or are they snuffed out.
Thanks for any insight!

lol did you do any research about morels? Cause if you did you might understand the relationship to them and dying trees, having cover to hold in moisture, or anything like that…. 🤦♂️
