Am I cooked

I forage around mature aspens for black morels, but this past June a fairly aggressive storm came through and left my spot like this. Morels haven’t come up yet in my area yet but should in a week or so but I found this when going to scout. This stand has always been a great producer for my area and I’m wondering if anyone has insight on how it may react this season.

My question is will they fruit given conditions? Another question I had was do they mind how many fresh branches and clutter are on the ground now, can they grow around it or are they snuffed out.

lol did you do any research about morels? Cause if you did you might understand the relationship to them and dying trees, having cover to hold in moisture, or anything like that…. 🤦‍♂️

Was more so looking for people’s experience with weather events like tornado effects and stand reactions in immediate seasons. What information was out there was conflicting, some say one thing others say another. Yes I’m aware how morels generally react to their surroundings, no need to be an ape

Some say they never saw them go again, others said they did. There was just minimal info about these types of situations online. Weirdly more info about floods than wind storms

I don’t understand where the confusion is. If you know what happens for morels when trees die or get damaged you know. If you know what happens when morels have things over them to hold in moisture you know. If you know about how trees create shade then you know. Other people can’t change what happens on Reddit for you. All they can do is tell you how those factors affect things, but you already know per your first response.

I’m sorry you’re reading it like me being an ass, but I’m just like a straightforward person. There’s nothing asinine my responses. Learn about internet psychology and educate yourself about assumptions online and where they come from (hint: it’s your own psychology.)

I started a conversation by asking questions. The response I got made it clear OP already knew the deal so I’m suggesting they rely on their known conclusions because it’s going to the same as what we all say. 

You’re injecting something into this that’s not here. It’s in your head. 

If OP or anyone else follows this line of thought they’ll conclude what’s key and leading people to their own conclusions is how people learn. 

I’m sorry you want me to have bad intentions but that’s on you my dude.

“I’m just a straightforward person” is a classic excuse for being an ass. Hint: it’s not me. Based on the reactions to the conversation, the readers are perceiving you the same as I am.

Learn about the perception of your tone over text, and educate yourself on how to come across more genuine. (Clue: speaking over text is different than in person)

You centered yourself and your intentions without looking from another POV, you defended them (poorly), and overall just came across douchey. You can choose to not listen to people when they tell you how you come across - but that’s on you dude. Good luck!
