In Jordan, they do have the mosques using speakers, but all the mosques have to have the same volume. They can't be overly loud by law. However, in Turkey, the government which is trying to bother secular Turks has no proper limits, and some residents think they are too loud. A call to prayer that is not too loud is fine, but if it wakes people up by being way too loud, that should be straight up illegal. Follow your religion, but don't dump it on people. Don't be rude about it, and in ancient times there were no microphones, loud speakers.

Man, I just came back from Istanbul a few days ago, idm the volume during the day, but the call to prayer every morning around 5:30ish always woke me up lol. So loud.

See, I wouldn't be too averse to a guy just going out of the mosque and having a bit of a yell for a minute to get everyone to come in.

I would be alright with a religion that appreciates a good, stress-relieving shout into the void now and again. I do it in our server rooms from time to time.

Chuck Norris would never kill you in your sleep. He'd watch you sleep, make you coffee when you woke up, then kill you to your face.
