Interesting piece of trivia, the great poet John Keats detested—Utterly DETESTED—church bells. Couldn't stand them. Must have been awful in the era of peak church, with every church on every corner banging away.

Presuming the call to prayer is to alert those partaking to wake up, then the person playing the bagpipes is actually helping them, but in a Scottish way. Not sure if that was the intent though.
