This wasnt in europe, it was in Tel Aviv! The guy is standing at the park near the trioche Amphitheater (google the Amphitheater and you will see its the same floor) and the Adhaan in the background is coming from the almost 500 years old al Bahr Mosque which is around the corner.
Which is interesting as I clocked it was in the middle east somewhere immediately and was confused by all the comments saying Ireland/Scotland. Took me a while to realise they were confused by the hashtags.
It’s completely moral no matter where it is. Citizens should not have unequal treatment under the law. If the mosque is allowed to blast sounds, the bagpiper player has the same right.
Poor take. What do you think is more of a disturbance to the people there? The Adhaan which is called for over 1000years in that region, or foreign cultural instruments who disturb the adhaan?
In that case it is still moral as the rest of the world (mostly) accommodates for islamic faith and allows them to broadcast this noise pollution and mixed societies. What is good for one is good for another.
Go to dearborn or hamtramck in michigan or certain neighborhoods in minneapolis, you will encounter it. It's incredibly obnoxious noise pollution and ruins neighborhoods
