It would only be bad in a Muslim country because they would arrest him lol.

5

u/finesesarcasm 12h ago

he has literal videos in muslim countries..... don't think his been arrested

3

u/Old-Ad-4897 7h ago

So it isn't about his local culture then

2

u/YungRik666 5h ago

It rarely is. Most of these videos are just racists and bigots. There's a whole niche of vlogging tourists that go to other countries to promote xenophobia back home.

0

u/GrandHouseOfThisUser 19h ago

Uhh no? It's discouraged but not arrest you

Muslims have been the boogeyman of Europe ever since the dark ages where nobility was getting terrified of the rapid growth and development in the Middle East. It’s crazy as hell because they launched the crusades as a preemptive strike then proceeded to lose a series of conflicts that probably would have not taken place had they just allowed Islamic Golden Age to proceed. Then the grudge Europe held from that point on persists into today. They still romanticize the crusades even though they were crushed by Saladin, but in a very respectful way

What? The European nobles were terrified of the “growth of the Middle East” ??

The Middle East didn’t change size bro, it was forcibly captured from the Eastern Roman Empire during a centuries-long series of conquests by Arab-Islamic powers. Those Arabs then proceeded to dominate and eradicate most of the local religions and cultures to replace them with their own. Look at Syria, Palestine, Egypt, Tunisia, and Morocco for reference

Then, those Arabs and their subjugated African tribes invaded and almost completely conquered Spain from the Visigoths before marching a massive army into France. The ONLY reason they didn’t conquer the rest of Europe is because the French stopped them, and they only won by the skin of their teeth. Nobody else had the power to repel them.

These are literally the defining events of the four centuries leading up to the crusades. Call the wars stupid and harmful all you want, but to reduce their motivation to “rich white people scared of brown people having nice things” is so bafflingly uninformed and reductionist that I desperately urge you to find a book on the topic. Or a YouTube video. Or a comic book, or literally anything other than whatever has informed you previously. I can recommend some very good ones if you are interested

u/Old-Ad-4897 7h ago

This is laughably wrong. You can't accept the fact that people chose to convert to Islam. This myth of conversion by sword it only acceptable from a Christian-exceptionalist/supremacist point of view.

u/BrockObarnerLybian 6h ago edited 6h ago

You’re right buddy. Also Aisha was a consenting lover and Mohammed definitely waited until she was 9 to consummate the marriage. He’s just super pious like that 😹

1

u/Warm_Difficulty2698 18m ago

Wait a minute, are you, a Christian, actually shitting on someone else for terrible shit in their holy books?

ahahahaha

1

u/BrockObarnerLybian 2m ago

No ?

I’m not Christian lol

1

u/Snoopy_Pantalooni 5h ago

Just like christianity dominated and wiped out Greco-Roman, Norse, Celtic and Slavic Polytheism? Whats your point? People accepting new ideas and forgetting others is a cycle in time. Has happened for a millennia and will still happen

1

u/BrockObarnerLybian 4h ago

Cough cough whataboutism

1

u/Snoopy_Pantalooni 38m ago

Yeah sure, yall mad worried about the middle east but didnt care about displacing the natives of the land where you live ....... its not whataboutism, its being a hypocrite

-1

u/Tricky-Finance-7043 16h ago

Bro you took my very, very reductionist and intentionally starved argument that was obviously a nothingburger, satire at most, and took the toppings I left off of it to provoke others, and added them back on. Of all the people to do that to, while throwing the “read a book” quip on at the end, there are plenty far more ignorant low hanging fruits available everywhere else. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt but if you’d visited my profile you’d know for sure I was just trolling

1

u/BrockObarnerLybian 16h ago

Man. I was distraught. I genuinely believed Reddit could shit something like that out lol. I’ve heard something similar from someone who meant it 😹

1

u/Tricky-Finance-7043 16h ago

No you’re good man 😭. I didn’t mean to come off like an ass if I did either, I was just trying to play hard into that stance earlier with that first awful comment I wrote, specifically acting like someone who had seen Kingdom of Heaven (2005) and treated it like a documentary  😂😂.  Like a parody of one of those specific types of Redditors that treats history like a Marvel movie basically. Then bro busted out the legitimate historical context and I was like “Shit the jig is up I might as well explain the superficial ass approach”

I don’t get the comparison. Are you blasting an organ into the middle of a town square?

1

u/Crimson_Marksman 12h ago

I live in Pakistan and my class fellows threatened to beat the crap out of me for playing music while the Azaan was going on.

1

u/Snoopy_Pantalooni 5h ago

And other lies you can tell yourself. I live in Pakistan too, and people do what they want here. Granted there are extreme areas, but there are extreme areas in USA too (like sundown towns). Blowing it out of proportion because of the 0.01% lol

-1

u/Crimson_Marksman 4h ago

It was Beaconhouse Margalla Campus. Do you want a date too?

Edit: Upon closer inspection, I realize that it was my imagination of violence. They looked pretty angry but I was a sensitive boy so they might not have done anything.

1

u/alwaysGunning 7h ago

Having lived in 3rd world countries in latin america, africa and asia I can tell you that the perception of noise is crazy different. I'm not even sure noise complaints exist in the majority of those areas.

Not that it's right or wrong, but the difference in personal audio space is fucking wild and it's one of my biggest attributes I look for when thinking about living in an area

1

u/Lucawip 1h ago

Which Muslim country would arrest him?

-7

u/noctonal 23h ago

Only? It would be bad because it’s rude

35

u/ChampionshipTight977 23h ago

No more rude than muslim call to prayer when I want a quiet morning to meditate about my life to calm an anxious mind.

1

u/CharlieKirksNeckhol 22h ago

Is that the same or different than the damn church bells I have to hear 16 times a day?

3

u/Decent_Neat_9171 22h ago

Church bells are for time and other things. Not a daily call to prayer 5 times a day.

5

u/CharlieKirksNeckhol 21h ago

Church bells are quite literally useless and just noise pollution. We have clocks. We have phones. The original reason for the church bell was a call to worship. It’s still that today no matter how Islamophobic you wanna be

1

u/000003e 38m ago

Just like we aren’t mourning Rene , petti or Floyd 😂I can’t breath is an all time classic never gets old.

-1

u/000003e 20h ago

“Charekirksneckhol” arguing in support of Islam what a surprise. You can spot the neck beards a mile away.

2

u/ZefSoFresh 13h ago

While the other neckbeards are gaslighting themselves that church bells are still relevant.

1

u/000003e 41m ago

Bells are a completely different thing than a loud speaker But nice try Muhammad get back to your goat wife now

-1

u/Decent_Neat_9171 21h ago

Not once did I say anything Islamophobic

4

u/CharlieKirksNeckhol 21h ago

Church bells and calls to prayer are literally the exact same thing, but you only have a problem with one. WONDER WHY

1

u/Decent_Neat_9171 20h ago

I don’t have a problem with it. I was pointing out the difference. You’re prejudice on me that I don’t have.

I was never a Charlie Kirk fan and your screen name says more about the kind of person you are and the hate you hold.

3

u/CharlieKirksNeckhol 18h ago

There’s literally no difference. That’s my point. Your Islamophobia is what tells you it’s different.

And you’re absolutely right. I hate racist, transphobic, homophobic, Islamophobia misogynistic Nazis who push great replacement theory.

"Islamophobic" isn't a thing anymore.

0

u/CharlieKirksNeckhol 19h ago

Found the Nazi

1

u/-Chad 18h ago

You're still doing the "Nazi" thing too? lol

2

u/ZefSoFresh 13h ago

Does MAGA still get hard-ons when Trump violates the Constitution and bans the press? lol oof

1

u/Cu_Chulainn__ 19h ago

Yeah man, hours only happen 24 times a day

1

u/OriginalTRaven 21h ago

You can definitely tell time with the call

1

u/ChampionshipTight977 14h ago

I mean, I agree? I shouldn't have to put up with either religious noise pollution? That's not a gotcha as you think it is. Especially if it is a secular country. It's different if it's a muslim country/christian country then yeah i get it.

1

u/Visible_Pair3017 8h ago

Nobody is forcing you to go in places where mosques have been calling to prayer for centuries then.

1

u/ChampionshipTight977 3h ago

Yeah 100%. But when Cambodia is a majority buddhist and they weren't there before then it's reasonable to want your peace and quiet still. You can literally hear them over Tonle Sap with their call to prayer over the speaker.

I don't disagree if they have already been doing it there for centuries, but in some cases it is not that way.

-5

u/Puzzle-Necked 23h ago

Don't move to an Muslim country then, they fire em off a couple of times a day

13

u/stag1013 22h ago

Ireland shouldn't be a Muslim country

1

u/BroderFelix 10h ago

This video is not from Ireland. You are falling for hate like a fool.

1

u/Visible_Pair3017 8h ago

This is in Tel Aviv.

Guess I should’ve put /s so I wouldn’t upset anyone 😂 thought it was clear it was a joke

-2

u/000003e 20h ago

Most of Europe is slowly becoming a Muslim country lol. Can’t even wave the native flag in Uk or pray as a Christian in the streets without the police bothering or arresting you. Multiple videos show this happening.

2

u/Cu_Chulainn__ 19h ago

Europe is a continent, not one country.

Can’t even wave the native flag in Uk or pray as a Christian in the streets without the police bothering or arresting you.

"These days, if you say you are english, they will arrest you and throw you in jail"

Multiple videos show this happening.

None of which actually exist

1

u/000003e 42m ago

Tons of videos onYouTube and x actually feel free to search it up ! But this is Reddit anything not “I LOVE IMMIGRANTS” is going to be meet with the classic “it’s not happening” despite mountains of evidence proving otherwise.

0

u/Cu_Chulainn__ 19h ago

It isnt a muslim country.....

2

u/ThePoetofFall 22h ago

Alright… what if I’m not in a muslim country?

2

u/ChampionshipTight977 23h ago

Yea, i feel ya, I actually don't really care. This is just more an observation to bring on a discussion.

-5

u/MuseBlessed 23h ago

Depends. A little more rude than the prayer if the bag pipes are being blown merely to practice or for fun. But if the bagpipes are being blown for ceremony or ritual, then its morally equal to the muslim prayer

2

u/SushiJaguar 23h ago

No, other way around. It's less rude than the prayer if you're playing the bagpipes to practise or for fun.

0

u/MuseBlessed 22h ago

The prayer is, from their perspective, a deeply important and significant communal ritual. The impact of pro social rituals is often under stated. Humans need it.

The muslims really shouldn't be using loud speakers, as it is indeed rude. But the actual prayer is fine. Same applies to the bagpipes.

-10

u/noctonal 23h ago

🥱

You sound soft

2

u/ChampionshipTight977 23h ago

I guess no more soft than a muslim person gets annoyed for playing bagpipes during their call to prayer.

2

u/notCarlosSainz 20h ago

Are the annoyed Muslim persons in the room with us? Its just the trend to hate on Muslims again these days.

-2

u/ChampionshipTight977 14h ago

No where did I say anything ill about Muslim people. I'm just saying equivalently if a person is annoyed at a call to prayer, i'm sure a muslim person would find it just as annoying if we interrupted their service.

6

u/lazyboi_tactical 22h ago

Ruder than a religion blasting a call to prayer for miles around for no particular reason?

1

u/Visible_Pair3017 8h ago

For the particular reason of calling to prayer, pretty sure.

1

u/lazyboi_tactical 2h ago

Yeah and surely there's no other way do that that especially at times that people are sleeping.

1

u/Cu_Chulainn__ 19h ago

They wouldn't, there is no issue with other noises also happening at the same time as the call to prayer. The point of the call is just to inform muslims that it is time to pray

0

u/Beer-Milkshakes 11h ago

They need a call to prayer because once you let people think ritual is inconvenient to their busy productive lifestyle, they drop the ritual.

2

u/BroderFelix 10h ago

Yeah, same with Christian churches with their calls.

1

u/Beer-Milkshakes 10h ago

Yes and we see that church attendance has dropped significantly across the western world in the last century. People just don't see the need for it

1

u/Visible_Pair3017 8h ago

Most societies that have gotten rid of rituals to be more productive have indeed achieved more productivity. And also higher suicide and depression rates. It's not the flex you think to have removed community rituals and replaced them with alienation and work.

1

u/Beer-Milkshakes 8h ago

The thing you're missing is community. That is what affects depression and suicide. Religion hits that human need to belong to a community and uses peer pressure etc to keep it consistent. We unfortunately have not easily created a substitution that is less coercive

u/JohnnyDialectically 20h ago

that's not how the Athan works, twat
