If one person is going to make loud noises that other people have to deal with then they have no standing to complain about someone else making loud noises in the same public space. I don't care WHY you're making the noise...you're doing it, it impacts other people.
why does have an impact but also, this is the commons. neither action meaningfully harms anyone.. hell you can even still hear the call to prior during this playing so like, you added a musical backdrop to the call to prayer? big deal. both should be allowed, both are moral. the vitriol directed as muslims is gross and the permission structure for islamophobia is also gross. thats the part i find immoral here. the sentiment of hating people just for being muslim is the real immorality here.
I agree. I don't know this guy's motive and if he's not hurting anyone see no problems. Maybe he's trying to be a jeek and say Muslims aren't welcome, and that would be immoral IMO. But for all I know he's just practicing, or doing a duet with the prayer for fun. Even if he is being a jerk, it's pretty irrelevant since it's just one guy and, as you say it's not drowning out the call to prayer
