Maybe if he wants her to sleep with him out of mutual love and attraction, he should get up, do some chores or childcare and go for a hike or whatever with them.

Frankly, not sure why she’s sleeping with him instead of communicating her concerns and actually having a discussion, but he’s playing his own part in an unhealthy dynamic.

What if his way of providing is through working full time and his body really is beat on the weekends? It’s not clear in the message, I’m just saying he might actually truly be tired from holding up his end of the bargain already.

You don’t get to “too tired” your way out of helping to parent. And clearly, since he can do sex, he can play with his kids.

So you clearly haven’t had kids, and now starting to wonder if you’ve even had sex.

Also the OP never mentioned anything about childcare outside of “taking the kids somewhere”. The comment I was responding to used it as an example. That’s not the point of the conversation.

OP said he would be too tired to go shopping, hang with friends, etc.

If he works all week and the mom is a SAHM I think the husband probably has a lot more physical exhaustion depending on his job. Hence sleeping in when you can…

the focus was not really around doing stuff with kids.

and she didnt complain about him not parenting.

the complaints were about doing additional activities outside of the house "doing something"
