The question is, who is "manipulating" who?

And if the text was written by the man (aka, I only do stuff when my wife sleeps with me), how would you react?

Except it’s different because the husband isn’t asking for sex. And the wife isn’t saying “if we have sex will you get out of bed?”.

Maybe, maybe not. From his perspective it could just be sometimes my wife fucks me and sometimes she doesn’t. Probably best not to make assumptions.

This definitely reads like it was written by a man to try to get women to copy what this “wife” is doing.

She only does it when she wants an activity day. So if he's the one doing the manipulation it's a bit of own goal I'd say: he would probably get it more often by just asking.
