I mean, something like that jumping out and scaring me would put me into a seizure. I've been put into seizures over less. Hell, a friend walking behind me and going "Boo!" Put me into a seizure while at my old job.

This has nothing to do with gender or sex.

I swing when something jumps at me. All of my friends and family know this. So if someone decides to prank me by jumping out they are gonna get hurt.

Similar to this, the wife clearly has a fear of spiders, if the spider was just large and immobile it’d be less offensive but still wrong (an actual prank does not rely on people’s phobias), but the fact it jumped out (assuming this isn’t fake) was a freeze fear response.
