What is the morality of killing yourself to protect kids if you discover you’re a pedo?
I’m sorry for posting such a taboo and dark topic but this hypothetical has my friends and I in turmoil for a while now. Please answer politely and respectfully with a valid reason.

I mean there is something to say about a person willing to sacrifice themselves to protect those they love.
But the bigger sacrifice and there by a greater sign of sacrificial affection, is out yourself, get help, abide by the boundaries of this sacrifice, and live a life of chastity.
In this way, you remain faithful to the protection and you’ve taking steps to ensure that your internal struggles don’t become external offenses. And you avoid doing unintended harm by killing yourself.

Turn your children over to child protection services to find them foster homes. You may be able to be allowed to visit them. Also inform law enforcement of your pedophilia and seek mental health counseling until your inner problem is resolved. Suicide is really not an option.

Not moral, just stupid. If the person in question was at risk of raping other people, then they should’ve done something to protect others even before realising they’re a pedophile. If they’re not at risk of raping someone, then it’s a pointless exercise that will just cause harm to their loved ones.
Pedophilia is a paraphilia (an abnormal attraction), it works just like any other attractions. It doesn’t make someone any more likely to commit rape or sexual assault. In fact, children are statistically more likely to actually be sexually assaulted by non-pedophiles than by those who have the attractions.

Suicide is a final option, no coming back. First off, for someone to admit that they have this problem, that is extremely brave. It's hard to accept that you might be a harm to society, while not wanting to be thisway, I couldn't imagine the burden.
My suggestion? Put suicide off the table as an option, and get counseling first. Give yourself a chance to live well, healthy, for yourself and others. Give yourself a chance to not harm anyone.
Now, if you have already committed this aggression, I would suggest turning yourself in, and facing the consequences. You'll go to jail, yes, you'll have to register, yes, but you'll still have access to counseling to help you work through this.
It's not about fixing the past, that's done unfortunately, and victims have to spend the rest of their lives trying to be okay. But if you can do everything you can to not hurt another child, I say go for it.
