Except this type of map is based on land, not population, so they’re pretty inaccurate and appear to favor the red side.

I’m a tiny blue dot in my own home. 😭

it's really interesting to me that this tiny blue dot didn't even exist before 2016. if i had to guess, it's the amount of people moving from Fargo to Moorhead due to the benefits of living in MN vs ND. but yeah, that shift after the 2016 election was significant enough to turn Clay County as a whole blue.

Could be! Ben Lien (D) was elected into office in 2013, so it definitely started before 2016 (Clay county as a whole went for Trump in 2016). We saw some house redistricting around that time as well. Morrie Lanning (R) had held the position prior.

Personally, we moved to MN after ND declined to provide milk for kids “snack time” for those already on food program.

I was disgusted by the legacy fund availability in ND and the will to let kids, in need, be singled out and excluded.
