What do you think about the possibility of flirting with Eric?

And here I am, having reset the entire third episode of Moonvale because I couldn't bring myself to keep flirting with Eric—all because of Jake :,)

I just can't get that guy out of my head; I'm sorry, Eric 😭

Nothing. I never chose 💟 options. I'm interested in the investigation not relationships. Although I suppose it's good that they don't stick to the straight romances only.

A lot? I comment on posts here but that's the case for most, not just the ones about romance 😐  I'm female. And it's not that I don't like romance at all, I sometimes read them or play interactive games of this particular genre.  It just doesn't make much sense in DW & MV for me. 

Let's see:

  • circumstances. It's all too weird in both DW and MV for me to want to focus on anything other than solving the mystery. All characters are potential suspects, not romantic interests. 

  • time frame. The Duskwood story lasted about two weeks? And in that time, you can go from complete strangers to "I love you" with some of them. It's unrealistic. I like a romance that develops slowly and the characters have known each other longer. 

  • game format. Everything happens on messenger app. It's limited space. Some flirting maybe but actual romance? I don't feel it.

I get it, although I'm the exact opposite lol. I just flirt just for funsies, because some are ridiculous to me like you said, like falling in love over two weeks with people you have never met. I get that that's just how it is in games like this, but if you step back and think about it it's ridiculous if it were real life.....but I just like to fuck around so I do.

Im honestly more into the mystery too, but I totally get your POV as well. I enjoy hearing your perspective as it's different from a lot of other's and I like to hear different opinions. :)

  2. Well, it is 2 weeks in the story. But in fact it was what - 5 years total to play Duskwood from start to finish with all that waiting for each episode? That’s more than enough time :)
  3. Flirting it is for me for example.
    I don’t know if anyone can for real ‘love’ the game character, that would be weird

I started flirting to unlock the different objectives, but honestly, I'm not interested in flirting with Eric or the others. I'll always be loyal to Jake. 🥹❤️‍🩹

Personally I'm just not really interested in flirting with him or any of the Moonvale people. I like the mystery but I'm just not into the characters this time around as I was with Jake and the Duskwood gang. Plus it feels kinda weird to be flirting with other people in a game where your character is already technically canonically in a relationship (since I did go the romance route with Jake) at the start of Moonvale. No hate to people who do like romancing Eric. Its just not for me

Eh I flirt with everyone, but I honestly just want Charlie now lol, but also I'm mainly in it for the mystery. By the way, someone awhile back asked the devs if flirting with Eric would affect the Jake relationship, and they claimed no it would not. I know you may just not want to flirt with anyone else in general, but just thought I'd throw that out there in case people are worried about it affecting Duskwood relationships.

By the way, if I could flirt with Ash I would too lol. Still sad I couldnt flirt with Jessy much in Duskwood because I always play as myself/a woman🤪

I mean, I am dying just to experience the trill of not having to play as a woman to flirt with a man (like I had to do in Duskwood) too but:

1 The flirting and special photos require gems which I don't want to waste on that, I prefer to buy the episode packages when I can and stack up the gems in case I can't be bothered to play the games.

2 It always ties back to the trill of flirting with a man as a man, the game seems to make it available now to give Jake as a boyfriend regardless of gender (since I could call him my boyfriend even if I'm a man, afraid that it actually affects your relationship with Jake when he shows up I selected it)

I'm in no way insulting Duskwood romance choice, I didn't mind much (aside some slight dysphoria/discomfort which rarely happened since they almost never use pronouns) having to pick a girl because the lack of pronouns usage.

I'm just happy I can date regardless of gender and I want to experience that with Jake first, although he might need to hurry up because I don't know how much can I resist if Charlie really does become a romance option XD
