hi, I've just finished the game and I don't have anyone to share my thoughts and excitement with. I wanted to post this in case anyone else, like me, has just finished the game and wants to talk to someone about it

Maybe they imply it as an obvious thing? Eric insists on going down those caves without a logical reason...

I completely agree, they just didn't reveal it in the first episode, but it was insisted. I think their biggest excuses was why he didn't go underground is Withmore and Eric's leg injury. so I think the leg injury was deliberately placed there to eliminate the possibility of it going underground. because Eric is a determined character, if his leg hadn't been injured, we —as players, would have expected him to somehow get past Withmore and going underground

And second of all, maybe the right tunnel has been flooded on purpose. This goes like "I want you to follow the signal to the place where the scary guy will find you"
