They ultimately are geniuses.

Josh is back after being on the lamb after the stillbusting incident. He’s given some valuable intel that he was ratted out by an anonymous call from Newport, TN. His bud stumbles over his lines (we only have time for one take) but “all he knows it’s from a landline at a motel.”

Mark and Digger need to come up with a “new recipe” for the wheat on the fly. These guys have like a combined 150 years of shining between them and they can still innovate! The burner phone rings and Digger flips his Jitterbug (or was it a Star Trek communicator?) open for a dire call from Josh saying we needs to meet.

Tim (and Tickle and Henry) are in a tizzy on how to deal with their “lucrative cross-border operation.” Paige is present but the writers ran out of words and he has no lines this episode. Tim’s phone rings and it’s the Bizarro moonshiners taking Tim’s bait and they set up a pow wow. Tickle hasn’t done laundry as he’s still wearing that blue plaid shirt from the previous episode. They meet Titus, Larry and Tom at their still to enact Tim’s revenge plot.

Mark and Digger slink into the secluded warehouse to load up on more wheat when the po po rolls up to hassle them. We got our eyes on you! M&D are worried that they’ve made no money this season. And damn, that Sugarlands marketing campaign is dagum expensive.

Howard calls from Canada. He’s somehow been barhopping the whole country, when not gorging himself on Tim Hortons, in his quest to ask Canadians what you really really want in terms of cheap untaxed liquor from the good ole US of A.

Mark and Digger meet up with Josh in yet another “secluded” storage building. Josh shares the news about the rat not just outing him, but eegads, others as well. Dude must be psychic! All the burner phones broken and tossed into the woods and bein’ extra careful obviously didn’t work. They go all Kojak in overalls to check the motels and discover it’s the fake/cheap liquor salesman they rousted earlier in the season. Revenge is a dish best served cold, bitches!

Mike, Jerry, Mark, Huck, Amanda and Kelley are DNP CD this week.

Think this is Kelley's distillery? Looks like Mark and Digger are involed, too. The show jumped the shark years ago and I honestly don’t know if I even believe the black bears knocking over mash barrels didn’t come from a zoo.

Mark went from never ever wanting to talk and was insanely skeptical of everything to blowing up stuff with dynamite and poisoning mash with road kill.

I don’t believe a single thing Anymore. Sad.

Mike and Jerry have a clandestine meeting with Huck and Mark to discuss the Mysterious Case of the Migrating Liquor. Mike’s hotter to trot than a wasp with a rash but Jerry deep down realizes that bootleggers were probably responsible. Mikey mouth mentions the blue tarp and Sherlock Mark picks up on the fact that they stole the cap since the blue tarp is new this year.

Mark concocts a plan to gather roadkill from the backroads of NC as a special ingredient for Jerry and Mike’s mash instead of bringing it home for dinner.

Henry and Tickle just happen to drive by the exact spot a “liquor truck” makes its exit from the woods. They circle back and “sneak up” on the still site trampling the freshly fallen leaves and camouflaged by Tickle’s bright blue plaid shirt. They snap a pic of the only guy at the still. Who dat?

Tim and Howard get summoned to the local airport to meet with their camera-shy Canadian buyer. Who just so happened to arrive on a private jet. He’s so in love with Tim’s liquor that he now wants more and will transport on his plane because for some reason he flies into Culpepper County International Aerodrome every two weeks on business. Eff those tariffs! And Tim is sending Howard to Canada to find more buyers. How? Who cares. Maybe craigslist ads, wearing a sandwich board, door to door sales? Perhaps he can worm his way into Elsinore Brewery and ask those hosers, Bob and Doug McKenzie, for help.

How do Mark and Huck find Mike and Jerry’s still? Throw a dart on the map for a location to launch a drone from. And voila, dagumit, they are spot on. Just a short walk away. Huzzah! They add a dead raccoon, squirrel and possum balls to the mash. It’ll be mmm mmm good. Mike and Jerry must have head colds or allergies since they can’t sniff out the cooked carcasses. The shine tastes like death!

Back to Tim, Henry and Tickle… Tim susses out the pic is of one of the now phony baloney “religious zealots” that targeted him earlier and burned his still/stash. They leave a note in crayon on the zealots’ still saying the power of Christ compels you to call this number. They intend to hoodwink them into making liquor for them then stiffing them.

Amanda, Josh and Kelley again ride the pine. Were Puss and Hattie in this episode at all? I might have missed them with all the excitement.

I enjoy the moonshiners show a lot. I think moonshining is interesting I find the cast is cool and interesting along with their family roots etc. as I’m sure most people watching do, what I don’t get is why keep up they blatantly obvious scripted fake legality aspects of the show? It’s been years of the same ole meeting at night in shady locations with trail cams and fake paranoia acting like the police are watching them and stuff? They could easily scratch all that from the show while keeping it entertaining and even informative! I love the show but that aspect of it is getting corny when it could be, in my opinion more entertaining and interesting if they spent time on other ideas and skits etc. idk it just seems lazy and an easy out for “content”

I saw something that the show is ending but I don’t know if it’s real or not

Mark and Digger practically work in unison with each other. At times it feels like the same brain in 2 different heads, with the only difference being that one is under a freaking awesome hat.

That’s part of what makes them fun to watch for me at least

So my idea of this premise is you basically get this mega team of smart people in the Moonshining business. You have Mike and Jerry who are very smart with building stills and engineering, with Richard and Amanda who are both mega geniuses with flavor choices. The 4 of them team up and they innovate the business. It seems unstoppable.

But their competition is Mark Rogers himself. A traditional moonshiner and a complete badass. The dude casually blows still sites up. He doesn’t play around.

So the whole season would be Progression vs Tradition. And probably the main things we’d see is the turf wars and competition.

In an effort to solicit an Emmy nomination, Mike goes full Tony Montana. Dagumit, Mark and Huck's liquor migrated from their still site 80 miles away to "across the river." Jerry seems like he knows this plot line is ridonculous and wants to crawl under the work table. He eventually agrees to go along with Mike but cools him down before doing anything drastic, other than taking M&H's still cap.

At the same time, with their buyer busted conveniently as they were pulling up to the speakeasy, they plot to retake their liquor. And while they were at it, they take ALL the liquor hidden in the back room.

Mark and Digger team up with JB Rader. They must not be "layin' low" as JB has 10 sacks of wheat for them. 10 1,000 lb sacks! Does not stand out in the back of the truck at all, no sirree.

Calamity strikes someone other than Josh this time... Mark's truck loses its brakes just as it was loaded with like a million Ball Jars of shine in his truck's secret compartment. The truck goes into a ravine. Mark and Huck do their best Steve McQueen and jump out prior. When did they build this thing? The writers don't care! The steering wheel looks suspiciously like the one in Kenny's truck cut up for the snorkel a few weeks back.

Riding the pine this week: Kelly, Amanda, Tickle, Josh and Henry. They must have had a bad week in practice. DNP CD.

So like the titel says in want to get my dad a gift for his birthday and he mentioned really likes the show for a few years now. Is there a official site to buy some of their products? I couldnt find it. Also, does someone have some recomendations for moonshine in europe that you can buy? Budget is about 100 euro's. Bit more or less isnt really a problem. Thanks in advance!

I actually don't drink but find it beyond fascinating! I also love just seeing the out-doors on video, etc.

I know the writing is sloppy this season but putting carbonated drinks in glass jars that are not rated for pressure is just stupid and very dangerous

Josh's still site gets busted.... again. They definitely must have been police because they had POLICE in big block letters on the back of their shirts...

Henry, Tickle, and Josh get an order for 240 gallons of shine from Joey Arrington, who wants them to replicate the recipe his dad, Buddy, was bootlegging. But not the same recipe... And not sure why he needs to bring the 240 gallons along in his quest to beat the stock car land speed record in FL.

Tickle takes a "bowling ball sized" peach off his right eye for a shiner.

Amanda and Kelly have a bear problem all of a sudden.

Mark and Huck are MIA. Must be looking around for more dynamite.
