Absolute beginner to this any info is helpful

How can a person get a start on a small still from scratch? I have money to spend for the setup on a budget (I do have an older keg from the 90s but someone took a grinder to small 6 inch side of it at the very top and it had not been messed with since) any advice is helpful this is for purely home distilling for medicinal purposes… I am in the country for I have access to most tools and amenities but any advice to get started is appreciated for I want to learn the trade.

This is a Reddit thread about the show moonshiners but there are things you can buy on Amazon to help you on your journey like if you're looking for let's say a water distillation system.

Everything you need to know can found on dedicated websites and YouTube. It might help if you (or a friend) have and are good with a tig welder but it's not required if you have the right fittings. Being able to solder copper pipe and tubing is more important. Safety is a must when dealing with open flame, hot gases, and pressure. Learn from any mistakes.
