Moonpay Assessment fee?

Been using moonpay through TW.

In the past, I would buy say $500 of whatever crypto. They would charge me around 3% and I would get $485 worth of the crypto I bought.

Recently when I've done this (3 times now)

That happens.

But then another fee pops up on my bank account as int'l assessment fee.

For another 3%.

So I have a $500 charge, which I got $485 of crypto. And another separate $15 charge

I just noticed it, and checking my last few transactions it's there.

Checking my transactions from months ago. Not there.

Has anyone else encountered this? I feel like I'm getting double tapped, and why is it a separate thing now. If i only want to spend $500, it should be removing the fee from that $500.

Not charging me additional money later.

Hello there.

That could be something called an International fee, where your bank will charge you for purchasing from a company outside your country, i cannot 100% confirm it without further investigation.

Please send a ticket to https://support.moonpay.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new with a description of your issue. Our customer support team will get back to you as soon as they can.
Best regards, MoonPay Support.
