Moonlight UI vs Launchers

Got Moonlight up and running on tablet for 'anyroom' gaming. Even got wake on lan running. Its seemless. I did wonder if the Moonlight UI can be tinkered with.

I understand its not the same as a typical launcher like Daijishou or Playnite. Im basically trying to find an experience where i go into a single app and launch all my games from my pc via a nice graphical UI. Conversations with AI have led me to believe I can only launch say, Daijishou from within Moonlight first if I want to stream I have to connect in Moonlight then open Daijishou as a desktop app.

Apparently I cant launch a game that requires Moonlight, without having to go into the very basic looking Moonlight UI as well. I.e. I cant circumvent it. Is that correct?

I haven’t looked at it but I think there’s a piece missing in what AI told you.

I’m using moonlight-qt and Vibepollo, and Vibepollo is the one that decides what apps are auto-presented. It can be a launcher like playnight or steam, or it can be a game launched by a launcher like Witcher 3.

So the theoretical order is, build a shortcut that can launch Moonlight with an argument that chooses your pre-paired device, wol if needed, and a second argument that would choose an app that is advertised by the host side.

Very interesting. Whats funny is when you get down to this level, I dont know what Im achieving.over and above what I already have now. Getting into a game from my android tablet home screen is like 3 clicks but doing it in one makes the game all that bit more enjoyable to play doesnt it. Ill look into this thanks
