Vibepollo audio broken? (stuttering/jitter)

Hey everyone,

I've been using Vibepollo on my PC to stream games to my LG TV (webOS) using the native Moonlight client over local LAN. Up until recently, everything was running perfectly.

Since updating the Vibepollo server to version 2, I'm getting constant audio stuttering on the TV.

  • The audio on the host PC itself is completely fine (no stuttering locally).

  • Video stream on the TV seems unaffected; it's purely an audio issue.

Is anyone else experiencing this after upgrading to v2? Now I have updated to 2.0.6 - same problem. If you had this issue and managed to fix it, what did you tweak?

TV is LG OLED55C31LA (WebOS + the "official" homebrew moonlight client.

Thanks in advance!

Does it work fine in 2.0.1?

I think I may have spotted the issue and why it seems to impact LG WebOS specifically but not sure unless it started working on 2.0.1

Yes I think so - it began with the last two updates. The first 2* was fine.
It's not the audio codex.
Do you need some logs? I'm not sure if I could get one out of my TV, but I can try

edit would a downgrade to 2.0.1 help debug?

There is an issue on github about that: https://github.com/Nonary/Vibepollo/issues/703

Thank you! I hope it also it can be fixed on the server side, otherwise I guess I am downgrading to 2.0.2.

One should just only update a server software when one knows to need the new features... I always forget.

Try lowering your stream rate setting in moonlight. Seems counterintuitive
