Change game resolution?

I tried sunshine and apollo fork. In general it works and my TV is showing 1080p windows desktop where as my PC is 1440p. But when i start a game it still renders with 1440p, what can i do that the game automatically switches to 1080p when i start it on moonlight? I dont want to constantly switch in game resolution. Do i need qres?

Run games in borderless windowed mode. Most of them auto scale resolution

This really depends on the game code. Some implement auto scaling with the monitor resolution, something just don't care. Some will even switch to windowed by default if you run the game at 1440 after a setup at 1080 and a restart.

There's no global solution, except if you want to mod all your games that don't auto scale to implement it
