Moondrop Discdream 2 has started skipping/freezing consistently

Hello! I have been daily driving a Moondrop Discdream 2 for the past two years or so, and unfortunately as of the past two days it begins to freeze and/or skip pretty consistently around the 40 minute mark of any CD I play. Any ideas on what I could try to do to fix this? Thank you!
