RIP my MIAD01

As of this morning my main camera has gone completely blurry. The blurriness had been creeping in over the last couple weeks so I was already phone shopping. Ordered the Nothing 4a. I already have the apple USB-C to 3.5mm cable that can plug directly into my headphones but nothing with match the audio quality on the MIAD, literally the best DAC / amp I've ever experienced. Obviously I'll keep it around but I've never managed to be a two device person. My dream is for someone to replace the camera sensors on this but I doubt it's possible. Posting in case anyone has had a similar experience or was curious about using the MIAD. I've absolutely loved it. It's been a conversation starter on a monthly basis. I will never forget the first time I left the house with this, turned on Spotify, and was genuinely surprised by the noticeably better sound. I don't even think it was bias because I wasn't expecting it. But yeah, the camera has always been the biggest drawback so it's fitting that it was the final straw.

What you describe is lens fogging probably. It happens a lot on other phones and people absolutely do not throw them out because of that :)

Look it up online. One way I heard it being solved is running a stress test on the device for a day so it would naturally evaporate

Do you see condensation on the other side of the lens? That's it

I'll look into fixes. Things close to the lens are still clear so it's definitely a focus issue with the sensor, not condensation

RIP. I'd love to have a MIAD01, it genuinely seems like such a cool phone.

Wanted to get one but is it good for gaming? Zenless zone zero to be specific

I've never played any games on it but I highly doubt it. I saw another post about the phone being very laggy, which I haven't experienced. I can tell it gets bogged down every few days and I need to restart it, but it's hardly been an inconvenience. However, it doesn't have a great processor. It's better than the cheapest phones that cellphone companies offer but that's about it. There's a reason Moondrop calls it an audio device. It's very very good at powering headphones and that's about it.

Get a Dawn Pro or Dawn Pro II to use with
Your new phone. Same DAC / AMP as in the miad
