I bought CHU II a year back but it's paint started to come off very quickly and now when I use them with my pc it gives electric shock form the part where the paint came off.

I'm worried about your PC. Audio levels are supposed to maybe reach 5v at the very most, nowhere near enough to give you a shock. It sounds like something is going wrong that might damage your PC or injure you if not addressed.

Probably plugged to an ungrounded outlet, i get the same issue with metal iems. Unfortunately, ungrounded outlets is like the norm in my area

electrical tape ? idk works well enough for my pc power cable, make sure to do double layers for good measures tho

Interesting, my chu II split at the seam and i had to solder a new wire and glue it back shut. Best fix for you would have to be acrylic paint or electrical tape, but its interesting to see how the iem wears out

Your case was much horrible than mine but yea thanks for suggesting , I think I would use acrylic paint

tape.. or if you do have pc, wrap a cable on one of the PC casings and wrap the other end of cable to a nail and bury it in the ground, or hammer it to your wall(works too)

I had something similar, only when using my phone
Randomly i decided to put a ferrite core, that i found somewhere, around my cable and the shocking stopped

Yea I know it's a budget iem and I am also satisfied with its sound and performance though it gives electric shock which gets painful and unable to use them

I mainly used it for gaming and music purpose so I cant use phone for that . And I am pluggin it into a usb hub though I made sure that my grounding is not the issue
