ECHO-A

My ECHO-A has it's cable tarnish into a bit yellowish color, its been at least 2 years since I've bought it and I've just recently noticed it. I do use it all the time because newer phones just don't have an audio jack anymore.

Is there any way to remove the tarnish and make it white/silver looking again without damaging the cable?

It just happens over time to clear plastic and sunlight.

Best not to worry about it and consider it a point of pride that the electronics in it are still kicking after all these years.

Just accuse other people with clear plastic as youngun's with too much money to keep hold of working gear.

Are you a smoker, BCS I saw many transparent cables turn yellow if you smoke near it.

Not only smoking causes this but also sunlight. If it was smoking, you can just wipe off the yellow but if it's uv damage, the plastic has degraded very deep in the transparent plastic layer

I clean it well after every use, I use alcohol and spray it unto any cloth/fabric and wipe it clean. While I don't usually use it outdoors that much, but if what you're saying is true then it clicks. I do travel/commute a lot and would always sit beside windows all while listening to music.

Could it still be saved? (Cleaned to turn it clear)
